(Ian's POV)

A bunch of nurses and doctors rushed in.

"Excuse me, but you need to leave," the nurse told us.

"Okay-" Nina started but I wouldn't let her finish.

"No! That's my daughter! What's wrong with her," I screamed.

"Sir, please, settl-" the nurse started.

"Ian, let's just go," Nina told me.

"No I'm not leaving her!" I yelled and I ran next to her bed right before everything went black.

(Nina's POV)

They had to knock Ian out, because he wouldn't settle down and that wasn't good for him or Sidney. I sat in his room until he woke up an hour later.

"How's Sidney?" he asked me.

"I don't know, the doctor hasn't come in to tell us yet," I replied looking around the room.

"Oh, how did I get here?"

"You freaked out then the nurse knocked you out," I told him and giggled.

"What's so funny?" he asked me looking mad.

"The nurse had to knock you out," I said trying to stifle a laugh but it was too hard. It just came out.

"Oh you think that's funny?" Ian asked me looking very mad.

"Uhh.." I started up he cut me off but getting up off the bed grabbing my face.

"Ian, what are you-" I started but I was cut off by him kissing me.

"I still love you, Neens," he told me before walking out.

(Ian's POV)

I just told Nina I love her! What's wrong with me! What if she doesn't live me back? What if I just ruined all chance I had for us being a family.

I sat down in a hallway and cried. I didn't know what else to do. Then Nina came up to me.

"I can't lose her," I told Nina.

"I know, I know, I can't either," she told me and rubbed my back.

"No, you don't understand, if she does it's my fault. I've been here from the beginning, I never left her," I told Nina.

"I know, Ian, she'll be alright," Nina told me.

"What if she's not?"

"She will be," then the doctor walked into the waiting room.

"The parents of Sidney Somerhalder?" I looked at Nina then jumped up and ran up to him.

"Yes! I'm here! How is she? Is she okay?" I asked worriedly.

"Yes, she's okay, you can come see her if you'd like, she's awake," he told us then lead us down a hallway. I looked and saw her laying in the bed, and I wanted to cry, but I had to be strong, for her.

"Oh Sidney!" I called out.

"Dad," she said and she was crying now. So was so I ran up to her and hugged her.

"Daddy, I was so scared, I saw a light, and then, I woke up, and you weren't there, dad, why weren't you there?" she said and hugged me even tighter.

"Honey, they didn't tell us you were awake, I waited and waited for them to tell me," I told her.

"Dad, I love you," she told me.

"I love you too baby girl," I told her and pulled away from the hug and I wiped her tear.

"Your okay now, I promise," I told her. Then she wiped a tear off my face.

"I believe you," she told me. Then Nina, was awkwardly standing there.

"Hey mom," Sidney told Nina.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" she asked and Sidney just looked at me.

"Well, uh, I kinda, just had a near death experience, so..." Sidney said.

"Oh yeah, stupid question sorry," Nina told her.

"I'm glad you came," Sidney told Nina looking at her hands.

"Yeah, me too," she said and looked at me and smiled.

"Do you by chance have my phone?" Sidney asked us.

"Yes," I told her and grabbed it out of my pocket.

"Thanks dad," she said.

"You're welcome baby," I told her and kissed her forehead. Then she just played on her phone.
