(Ians POV)

Sidney's first day of gymastics was when she was five, and she was the best one out there an quickly moved up. When she was 11, she started competing.

"Are you excited baby?" I asked her.

"Yes, dad, it's my dirt competition! I'm kinda nervous though!" she said. Because we all knew it she did good in this one, she could go to state. Then national. Maybe even one day the Olympics. But it all starts here.

"I'm sure you'll do great!" I told her, because, I knew she would. And I also knew after we'd go out and get ice cream to celebrate a win. I decided to step out and give Nina a call.

"Hey Neens," I said when she answered.

"Hey, what's up?" she answered.

"Not much, uh Sidney's first gymnastics meet is today, and I know you were a gymnast, and it would mean the world if you could make it too," I told her, " she does this for love and affection from you more than anything else, Nina, please come. She really needs you to right now," I said. I bit my lip. I really hope she would come!

"Okay, I'm in a taxi, I actually just got off a plane, so I'll come right over. It'll be about 15 minutes, will I be there before she goes on?" Nina asked me. Thank the lord! I'm so glad she's coming.

"Yes, she's won't be on for a little bit, you might even have time to talk to her before she gets on. Maybe a little pep talk even?" I asked her. I knew I was asking for a lot, but I just couldn't help myself.

"Yes, I think I can manage that," she said.

"Oh! And Nina?" I asked. This was it I was going on the biggest loop of all.

"Yes Ian?" she asked.

"Maybe, you could stop touring the world and come stay at our place? Sidney's getting older now, she's almost a teen, and she needs a mom more than she needs me," I told her.

"Don't push your luck," was all she said before hanging up.

(Nina's POV)

When I got there, I walked in and started looking for Sidney and Ian. They were sitting on a bench so I walked over and sat next to Sidney.

"Mom! You're here!" she screamed and threw her arms around me.

"Hi baby girl! You're dad has told me how good you've been doing and I can wait to see you preform! Im sure you'll do amazing!" I told her.

"Thanks mom! It means a lot to me! I better go get over there though! It's almost my time to go on!" Sidney said. I just smiled.

"We make cute children," I said to Ian. He giggled.

"Children?" he said.

"Well child. And I couldn't even have been pregnant, the first time we did it we got her, and i left shorty after she was born so we never did it again," Nina said and watched Sidney.

She started off strong on her floor, then did amazing on bar, but it was as she went on the beam it all took a turn for the worst. She did I flip, but when she landed, she missed a foot and fell. You could hear a *Crack!* and the her scream and start crying.

"SIDNEY!" I said and ran out there.

"Daddy! It hurts!" she said holding her ankle. I picked her up, I put one arm underneath her legs, and the other on her back/ neck.

"Nina, here's my keys you drive," I said I laid Sidney down on the backseat and we drove to the hospital.

"Ian, I'm leaving, she's not as good as I though, she shouldn't have fallen, I can't stay here and praise her for messing up. I'll call a taxi," she said when we got there. Sidney broke her ankle and was out for awhile. But that didn't stop her from getting back up.
