Chapter 23

(Nina's POV)

*1 week later*

Sidney had been at the hospital a lot. Shes there from the time to school end, till its time to go to bed. She does her homework there and everything. Its kinda depressing actually. She just kinda sits there. Waiting for Michelle to wake up, when honestly no one knows if she will. I get worried about her. I know Ian does too. She our little girl. I just hope she knows that.

Ian's gonna take us out to dinner tonight. He says we need it. We haven't gotten enough family time lately. After work he said he's gonna go over to the hospital to get Sidney and I'm just gonna meet him there. And its that time now.

(Ian's POV)

I pulled up in front of the hospital and texted Sidney to tell her I was here. Tonight was gonna be a big night. Not just for me, but for Nina and Sidney too. I was gonna propose to Nina. I couldn't wait! It was time we took this step. I was not sure if I should get Sidney's permission first or not. I guess I would bring it up in the car if it felt right.

(Sidney's POV)

As my dad pulled up, I walked out to his car. I didn't want to but I knew I had no other choice. It had been a week since Michelle has been in a coma. I haven't really spent much time with my parents since the incident. They have me going to a shrink.

"Hey honey," my dad said.

"Hey," I said and put in my head phones and began to look out the window.

(Ian's POV)

I was gonna ask her about it, but apparently she doesn't want to talk so I'll just let it be a surprise for everyone.

We pulled up at the restaurant, and I told them the name for our reservation and we all enjoyed small talk. While me and Nina did anyways. Sidney just kinda sat there, and played with her food. Then I got out of my chair, when down on one knee, and pulled out the ring.

"Nina-" I began.

"Oh my gosh," Nina said.

"Da-" Sidney began.

"Everyone let me finish or I'm gonna forget!" I yelled and looked around. Everyone went silent.

"Nina. I love you. You are my life. You, Sidney, and this baby, are my life. I never want to be separated from any one of you. I want to be with you for the rest of my life. We've gone through some hard times but we got through them. Nikolina Dobreva, will you marry me?" I asked. She was now in tears.

"Yes, yes!" She yelled and grabbed my face and kissed me.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" She screamed and grabbed the ring and put it on her finger. Then Sidney's phone rang.

(Sidney's POV)

I answered.

"Hello?"

"Hi, yes, is this Sidney Somerhalder?"

"It is, is there something I can help you with?" I asked the lady.

"Yes, I'm a nurse at the hospital, Michelle just woke up and she's asking for you," the nurse said. I stood up.

"We have to go. Now," my dad just looked at me.

"But we're not done eating yet," he said.

"Michelle's awake," was all I said. He looked at me then at my mom.

"Can you take care of the bill then met us at the hospital?" He didn't wait for an answer we just left.
