Peter woke up the next day feeling as though his skin was on fire. Not to mention the ringing that was still endlessly pounding in his head, and the added bonus of some stuff muscles from being in such an awkward position for hours.
He was feeling a bit better, however he still couldn't fully open his eyes; it was way too bright. Even though it was only 7 in the morning, it was nearing June, so the sun would be up sooner, unfortunately for him.
He groaned and sat up, stretching his muscles out with a yawn. He cringed as he ran his tongue over his lips and it scratched like sandpaper. "The hell is happening to me?"
He stood up and groaned in discomfort as his vision began to spin, and he almost fell onto his knees. Putting a hand on the wall to stabilize, he took a deep breath and bit his lip. What was going on?
His thoughts were cut off by a soft knock on the door, which to him sounded like gunshots. He jerked his head back in surprise and put a hand over his chest which was bare. "Are you up?' a feminine voice called from outside the door, Natasha.
"Y-Yeah," he mumbled and internally groaned from the noise.
"Ok, we're having breakfast if you'd like to join."
"Mhm," was all he could manage to say. He heard her footsteps walking away, and he slumped down the cold wall and onto the floor. "Oh fuuuuuuuck," he moaned and scrunched his hair with his hands.
He wanted to stay stationary on the ground, however his stomach protested with a loud rumble. He was fairly hungry, and if he wanted to get back being Spider-Man again, he had to put on weight. His muscles were gone and he was left being a fragile, almost skeletal, figure.
Staggering to his feet, he tugged on a red sweatshirt and some sweatpants, cringing at the fabric that scratched against his skin which was so sensitive today.
The common room was filled with four of the Avengers, Natasha, Sam, Steve, and Wanda who were standing, and chatting while munching on some toast.
"Look whose up!" Steve called out. He gave a weak grin.
"That's the Spider-Man?" Peter could hear Sam quietly whisper to Steve, most likely with the intention of Peter not hearing. Steve gave a small nod.
"Hi, I'm Sam, and I don't think we've officially met yet," he said, holding out his arm for Peter to shake. He took it, and smiled. "And that's Wanda, I'm not sure if you've met her either." he pointed his thumb to a red-head in a grey sweater.
Peter gave a smile and a nod to Wanda, not wanting to speak at the moment.
Steve's face had a look of concern on it. "You ok there kiddo? You don't look very comfortable right now."
"Mm," Peter hummed and sat down on a stool. He put his elbows up onto the granite islands, and put his head in his hands. He closed his eyes and covered his eyes with his hands. "I d'nno," he slurred, his voice raspy. "Something's going on with me, and I don't know what..." he whispered.
"Like what?" Natasha asked and sat down next to him.
"Well, my powers include a dose of enhanced senses which normally are fine... but now they're acting up."
