Tony POV

"Can someone please tell me why Mr. Patchy here decided to call the cool kids club to a meeting?" I ask irritably while looking around the room.

They all just shook their heads. Bruce was half asleep, listening to music through his earbuds. Thor was leaned back with his feet on the table. Nat was patiently waiting, but I could tell that even she didn't know why we were there. Wanda was just kind of going with the flow. She's obviously just trying to get a feel for the room right now. Clint is not here. He's been kept in a safe house with his family ever since the Ultron. He's considered himself retired for the sake of his kids, but I highly doubt he'll stay away from trouble for long. Vision was, well, being. And that brings us to Capscicle.

Cap had been the one to call the meeting after Fury had a phone conference with him. He wasn't told much except that everyone should be in the war room at eight. So here they were, waiting for orders.

"Well listen party people, "I have some important internship papers to go through." I say while getting up, "And I think Pepper would actually kill me if I skip out on another paperwork related job. So-"

I was quickly cut off by none other than Patchy himself walking into the room, "That won't be necessary Stark."

Nick Fury took his place at the head of the room and we all turned to face him, "Next time," Bruce mumbles, "maybe Tony should lead off with trying to leave."

This earns him snickers from every one but Nat, Vision, and Fury. Fury just gives Bruce a warning glance before continuing, "We have a bit of a threat on our hands," He begins while pulling up files, "This is The Spider," He states while pulling video image onto the screen, "All we know about... It. Is that It stops petty crimes centered around Queens, but sometimes spread out. We need to bring It in for questioning and more than likely testing. We don't know It's source of power and It could be dangerous."

The word It catches my attention immediately, "What do you mean by It? Are you trying to tell me that we don't even know if this is a man or a woman?"

This earns a sigh from Fury, "I think that that is the point of the costume. If you pay attention, it goes from blue, when it's cold, to purple, when it's hot. I don't think The Spider wants people to know It's gender identity. Oh, and we've already tried the alert from yesterday. The Spider was a no show so now we have to bring in the big guns," he looks around our table, "Well... the guns."

There was a long pause. Until Steve spoke up, "So we know nothing about this person or thing except that they are located around Queens and only comes out in the afternoons or occasional late nights... Great, anything else we should know?"

Director Fury was about to say no when he remembered something from the file, "No one knows It's age. It doesn't speak much and is sort of tall. But It could be a kid. So try not to kill him if you can avoid it."

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I could have sworn I heard sarcasm in that last comment. Poorly added sarcasm, but sarcasm nonetheless.

"Will do Director," Cap said while standing up to shake his hand. After Fury left he turned to us, "So how are we going at this?"

Bruce, my amazing science bro, decided that was the next best time to speak, "Aren't we supposed to be asking you that Cap?"

Steve just shakes his head and looks down at his hands, and Nat chimes in, "We could just corner the Spider next time he's spotted. Like tomorrow afternoon or something."

There was a long pause before Wanda piped up, "You do know that The Spider hasn't been spotted since the alert went out. Right? I think It's hiding."
