Ray POV
I pace my room, shocked.
It's 3:31 right now. My internship was supposed to start a minute ago.
It's all too much for me. First, Flash has to be an idiot. Then, the school takes my lab away. Ned is moving, and now Bruce knows my secret... or does he?
He could just want to talk to me about The Spider. Not about me being The Spider. But I doubt it. Highly doubt it.
I look at the clock again. It's 3:35.
I can't just stay here. My home address is on my internship paperwork. They'll come after me if they find out.
So, I do the only logical thing. Pack a bag.
I take my laptop, gender neutral clothes, deodorant, a comb, chap stick, a toothbrush, my phone, chargers, and forty dollars I've saved. It all fits in a duffel bag. I also grab my school clothes (I can't just drop out) and my suit.
I walk out into the living room. May still isn't there. She wouldn't be home until 5:30 ish.
I write a note about some sort of robotics club retreat. That'll keep her off my trail for about two days.
I also take all of my hidden cameras and equipment. There can't be any trace of anything suspicious.
When everything is taken care of, I head out.
There's an abandoned parking garage about ten minutes from here. I'll stay there until it's safe. I ride my bike there, trying to balance my bags.
I settle for the middle of the building, about three stories up.
I put everything in the corner of the open floor. It's spacious and really lonely. Perfect.
No one should look for me for about two days. I'll go to school like normal and everything should be fine.
I triple scan my surroundings and change into my suit.
I climb to the top of the building and scan my surroundings. Everything looks like it should.
I want to avoid being seen so I stay there. Thinking everything over once again.
"Master Ray, you have another text from Dr. Banner." Riley speaks through the watch.
"What does it say, Riley?"
"You were supposed to be here an hour ago. What's the hold up, kid?"
I just sigh and pull my mask up. I run my fingers through my hair and think about what I'm doing.
I jump when I hear a voice behind me, "You know kid, I would appreciate if you would text me back."
Forgetting that my mask was off, I turn around to see Dr. Banner.
I'm frozen. In shock or fear or maybe both. But I can't move. Instead, I feel my breathing increase once again. And before I know it, I'm shaking.
I can't get a hold on it, and I end up on the ground, shaking and crying out of control. I can't breath.
I get so caught up in it that I don't even see Dr. Banner rush over to me and start trying to calm me down.
It doesn't work. Instead, it gets worse.
It lasts for what seems like forever. I want to run. Far away. But I am unable to move.
When the episode ends, I'm left on the ground. A complete mess.
Dr. Banner gives me a moment to calm and collect myself. I'm grateful for that, but when he starts to speak, I can't help but hate him a little, "How long, Kid?"
