"It was open?" she started.

"Just a smidge..." Newt replied, I giggled at his answer. He shot his head to me with a small smile. His eyes looking me up and down before he looked at my eyes.

"That crazy Niffler thing's on the loose again?" she asked. Newt turned back to her.

"Err – it might be - " he said smiling again and slightly embarrassed about something. I bent down and grabbed my case then walked over to the door, letting Tina enter in more to see the room.

"Then look for it!" she then saw the man. "Look!" she ran to him and he started to groan again, I ducked my head outside to make sure nobody was here, I then saw Tina by him with her fingers on his neck. "He's neck's bleeding, he's hurt! Wake up, Mr No-Maj. AHHH!" a Murtlap jumped out from behind the man and started trying to bite something. "Mercy Lewis, what is that?" Newt grabbed it and opened his case, placing it inside.

"That is a Murtlap, I've never seen one so aggressive before Newt. My one's quite ok...but then nobody bothers him." I stated to Tina. Newt looked at me.

"You have a Murtlap?" he questioned.

"Yes, his names Fig, he's very odd for a Murtlap." I told him.

"What else have you got in there?" Tina and I asked then looked at each other.

"You." The man was awake and addressing to Newt.

"Hello," he said kindly.

I smiled, he is such a Hufflepuff. But I always loved that about him. Tina hurried to help the man up.

"Easy, Mr - " she took his hand for a shake as he said.

"Kowalski...Jacob..." Newt got up and pulled his hand out, Tina jumped in front of him and I grabbed his shoulder.

"You can't Obliviate him! We need him as a witness." Newt lowered his hand and we shared a look, he turned back to her annoyed.

"I'm sorry – you've just yelled at me the length of New York for not doing it in the first place." I could tell he was frustrated.

"That is the reason you had him come...we don't need a witness Tina." I said, and Newt nodded at me, agreeing and thanking me.

"He's hurt! He looks ill!" she yelled. I had just had enough of the way she treated Newt.

"He'll be fine." I said

"Yes, Murtlap bites aren't very serious." Newt added. Jacob groaned again, and Tina turned to face him. He was struggling to move around. Newt panted, and I stepped forward, knowing everything about bites and injuries caused by a creature.

"I admit, as a professional in these circumstances that is a slightly more severe reaction then what I've seen, but I know how to treat it. Although if it was really serious – he'd have..."

"What?" Tina asked.

"Let me finish Tina." I waited and continued, "Well the first symptom would be flames out of his anus - " Jacob looked at his pants at my words and Newt huffed, knowing what I was talking about.

"This is balled up!"

"It'll last forty-eight hours at most!" I yelled, Tina looked shocked at my anger.

"I can keep him if you want." Newt stepped in as I calmed down.

"Oh, keep him? We don't keep them! Mr Scamander, Miss Opera, do you know anything about the wizarding community in America?" she asked.

"No, I don't" I said dropping my head.

"I do know a few things, actually." Newt started, "I know you have rather backwards laws about relations with non-magic people. That you're not meant to befriend them, that you can't marry them which seems mildly absurd to me." Newt said. I looked at Tina hopping it wasn't true.

How can people be so mean to not even let the Muggles be friends with Wizards.

"Who's going to marry him? You're coming with me, all of you - " Tina went over to try carry Jacob who could hardly stand.

"I don't see why I need to come with you - " Newt said.

"Same - " I joined. Tina dropped Jacob and looked at us.

"Help me!"

"I'm dreaming right?" Jacob asked.

"Please..." Tina asked us. I looked to Newt and he looked to me. He passed me his case and helped Tina.

"Yeah, I'm tired, I never went to the bank. This is just some big nightmare right."

"The both of us Mr Kowalski." Tina said as we Apparated.
