After about five minutes, Tina and Queenie had made sure we were ok and left, Newt got out of bed and woke me up.

Ops, I must have fallen asleep.

"Evangeline...Evangeline...Evangeline." I took a deep breath and opened my eyes to see Newt. "Come on, you need to fix Jacob and we need to talk." I got out, I was in nightclothes so Newt turned around while I got out and changed.

"I'm done." He turned and held his hand out. I grinned at him. "What are you doing?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"People would say, I'm being a gentleman. But you would say I'm being a Hufflepuff." He smiled and so did I. He lowered his hand but gestured to his case that was open on the floor. I walked towards it and turned back to him.

"You have no idea how much I have missed you, Scamander." I smiled and stepped into the case.

"Same to you, Opera." I could hear the smile in his voice and I smiled even more.

I may have fallen in love with him when we were in our third year before everything happened in our fifth. Once I was fully inside I saw Jacob sweaty and drink from some water Newt must have given him. I moved towards him to examine his bite.

"Ah, that's definitely the Murtlap." I walked over to Newt's jars and boxes on his desk to look for 'Murtlap spit'. Perfect. I thought. Newt was now inside as I continued. "You must be particularly susceptible. See you're a Muggle, or as Tina and Queenie call you, a No-Maj. So our physiologies are subtly different." I finished making what I needed, adding some plants to help and walked to Jacob. I injected the solution into his neck and he let out a small yelp. I turned around and saw Newt squeezing a green cocoon, I walk up to him. "What's that?" I question, he jumps slightly, and I giggle.

"Well this – the locals call it 'Swooping Evil' – not the friendliest of names. It's quite an agile fellow." Newt opened his hand and a green ball falls from his finger. "I've been studying him. And I am pretty sure his venom could be quite useful if properly diluted. Just to remove bad memories, you know." I nodded, knowing just what memories I would want to get rid of.

He turns to Jacob and flings his hand, as if throwing something. The creature bursts from the ball into a green bat-like, spikey mutant. Before I could look anymore, Newt brought it back.

"Probably shouldn't let him loose in here, thought." He smirked. He seemed to want to show me but scare Jacob at the same time. "Come on." Newt said walking to Jacob but eyeing me.

"Where are we going?" I asked, confused. He pointed to the door. I grinned.

I thought my case was amazing...but not as amazing as Newt's. We stepped out, Newt first, then me, followed by Jacob. He opened the door and I got to see my very first Thunderbird. He was gorgeous and just pure gold, literally, his feathers were gold. Newt ran to him.

"Come on...come on...down you come...come on." I had tears in my eyes, not just from the bird's powerful wings pushing strong amounts of wind towards me and Jacob but because I am actually seeing one. Newt looked at me with a proud smile, then back to the bird. "Oh, thank Paracelsus. If you'd have got out that could have been quite catastrophic." He turned again to face Jacob and I, then continued. "You see, he's the real reason I came to America. To bring Frank home." He said and glared at me.

I had a huge smile on my face and couldn't believe he named his creatures too. Jacob tried to step forward, but Frank started going crazy, Newt's hand slipped off. "No sorry – stay there – he's a wee bit sensitive to strangers...especially Muggles. Here you are – here you are." As he tried to calm Frank, who wouldn't listen, I walked forward.

I reached my hand and stood next to Newt. Frank saw my hand and calmed, he then pushed his beak up to my hand, allowing me to pat him. Newt turned to me, impressed and pleased.

"He likes you." I smiled, I turned to face him. If Jacob wasn't here and I told him I liked him...I would have kissed him. But alas I didn't and chickened out.

Newt cough, realising Jacob was still there and continued in what he was saying.

"He was trafficked, you see. I found him in Egypt, he was all chained up." My eyes seemed to turn from glee to sadness for Newt rushed that he couldn't leave him. "But I-I-I couldn't leave him there, I had to bring him back. I'm going to put him back." He turned to Frank and Frank moved to Newt's hand that was reached out. "I'm going to put you back where you belong, aren't I, Frank. To the wilds of Arizona." He seemed to be in a trance of being in Arizona himself.

I smiled to myself, seeing him like this made me have butterflies in my stomach. Newt lets go of Frank and throws something to him when he's out of his daydream and Frank flew back up to wear he was before we got here.
