Newt had just climbed out and I followed. As I exited I saw we weren't at the lake, but indeed in the middle of a meeting room. Jacob came as I finished lifting my foot out, holding my case. He gave a proud sigh, that stopped mid breath as he didn't know were he was. I saw Newt's face and it was full of worry, he moved to close his case when a wizard spoke.

"Scamander? Opera?"

"Oh – err – hello, Minister." Newt said, picking his closed case off the ground.

"Theseus Scamander? The war hero?" another asked, I turned around looking at every witch and wizard in the room.

"No, this is his little brother. And what in the name of Merlin are you doing in New York?" the first wizard asked. One caught my eye, but I was pulled back to the sound of my Newt talking again.

"I came to buy an Appaloosa Puffskein, sir." I could tell he was growing nervous.

"Right. What are you really doing here?" the wizard asked again suspiciously.

"Goldstein – and who is this?" a woman asked, pointing to Jacob. I had to admit she was very beautiful and seemed very strict in the way she held herself.

"This is Jacob Kowalski, Madam President, he's a No-Maj who got bitten by one of Mr Scamander's creatures." Tina blamed. I gave her a hurt look. She looked back at me with tears starting to form in her eyes. Muttering rose from the crowd.

"No-Maj? Obliviated?" some had said. Newt looked to me and reached to grab my hand, he did this a lot in school when he was nervous. We intertwined our fingers and he looked to the ceiling. He gasped.

"Merlin's beard!" I shot my head up to see, a gasp escaping my lips. A man floated in the air, blue all around him, his head kept turning and I saw scars on his face.

"You know which of your creatures was responsible, Mr Scamander?" a witch asked, I squeezed Newt's hand as she said so, why would she straight out accuse him.

"No creature did this...don't pretend! You must know what that was - "

"Look at the marks... That was an Obscurus." I stated. Muttering had sprung again.

"You go too far, Mr Scamander, Miss Opera. There is no Obscurial in America." The President sternly stated. Newt looked up at the man, gripping my hand.

"Impound the cases, Graves!" before I could get a hold of my case, it flew from my hands, Newt's did to. Newt let go of my hand, fiddling for his wand.

"No...give that b-!" he yelled.

"Arrest them!" the President spoke. Newt flew into the air, and my knees fell from under me, making me bend on the ground. My hands forced their way behind me as Graves stood, holding both cases.

"Don't hurt those creatures – please you don't understand – nothing in there is dangerous, nothing!" Newt fort, struggling against the guard.

"We'll be the judges of that!" the woman yelled. She instructed to the Aurors behind us, more to the one behind me. I looked up, scared... "Leave Miss Opera here, I would like to talk to her. Take the others to the cells!" I sighed, shock on my face.

"No – No, Evangeline! Don't hurt those creatures – there is nothing in there that is dangerous. Please don't hurt my creatures – they are not dangerous! Evangeline! EVANGELINE!" Newt screamed, I dropped my head, ready for punishment.

"Miss Opera, what are you doing in America?" The questions had started, all eyes were on me. My breath became heavy and loud.

"I was here to escort a creature to a more secure area, but that changed to try find the man who killed my mother, Gellert Grindelwald." I strongly said. The President nodded her head.

"Most of my Aurors should be doing that." She tilted her head, "And what would you say would be in your case?"

"Beasts, creatures, monsters, whatever you cruel people want to call them, but I'll tell you one thing...they are not dangerous." I repeated Newt's words, him on my mind going through hardship.

"What would you have in your case?"

"Something I can not tell." I stared daggers at the President. She turned to somebody in the crowd.

"Stae, use the spell..." I turned my head to see Hillary, I knew I recognised somebody. She walked down, my eyes filling with tears, ready for pain. She lifted her wand, put didn't do anything.

"What are you doing, Stae?" a wizard asked, confused. I looked up and saw she lowered her wand.

"I'm not going to perform the Cruciatus Curse on a close friend." Hillary turned to face the President and spoke with pride.

"Excuse me?" The President asked.

"I'm not doing it." She walked forward, placing her wand away, "And she's telling the truth. Both her and Mr Scamander, they have nothing dangerous inside those cases." The President looked to another Auror, she took Hillary's arms.

"Take them away." She huffed. I was pulled up, dragged backwards.

"Wait – WAIT! Don't touch my dragon, she's done nothing - you can't kill her! My creatures are not dangerous! They're not dangerous – THEY'RE NOT DANGEROUS!" I screamed.
