"They won't remember anything. That venom has incredibly powerful Obliviative properties." Newt told the President as I heard her heels walked past us. I moved my head out of his neck and let go of him. He did the same but grabbed my hand.

"We owe you a great debt, Mr Scamander. And you Miss Opera."

"Why me, I didn't to anything." I whispered.

"Yes – you did. If you didn't get the idea of coming to New York to find Grindelwald, you may not have helped us catch him." Madam Picquery explained.

"Now – get those cases out of New York." She ordered.

"Yes, Madam President." Newt and I spoke in time and smiled.

"Oh, and we'll take Miss Stae to a hospital and get her recovered." She added.

"Thank you." I replied. She nodded and started to leave, her Aurors following when she turns back.

"Is that No-Maj still here?" she suddenly asked. I looked around to see if I could spot Jacob, when I did I saw Queenie was in front of him, trying to hide him. "Obliviate him. There can be no exceptions." She instructed, everyone's faces including myself dropped at the news. "I'm sorry – but even one witness...you know the law." She pauses as I look to her, begging for her not to. "I'll let you say goodbye." With that she left, left us in sadness at saying goodbye to my new friend Jacob Kowalski.

All of us had just reached the stair to enter the subway, getting ready for a sad farewell. Jacob was about to walk out when Queenie grabbed his coat, I could only imagine what it must be like for her. Jacob turned at the sudden stop.

"Hey. Hey, this is for the best." He looked everywhere and at anything but either of our eyes. "Yeah – I was – I was never even supposed to be here." I could see he was holding back tears. I looked to Queenie and she was distress and scared that Jacob really didn't feel like he was now apart of the Wizarding World. "I was never supposed to know any of this." I shot back to Jacob as he spoke. "Everybody knows Newt only kept me around because – hey – Newt, why did you keep me around?" Jacob asked. I looked to him, knowing it was hard for him to talk when he was upset. Yet again like always he took my hand in his.

"Because I like you. Because you're my friend and I'll never forget how you helped me, Jacob." He stumbled on his words, but he got them out.

"Well everybody knows why Evangeline kept me – uh – Evangeline, why - "

"Because I care about you, Jacob. You are my friend and – I have never met someone who has accepted creatures and a world they have never heard of with such open arms, never in my life until now, Jacob." I chocked on my words.

"Oh!" Jacob must've not expected the heartful answers from Newt or I. Queenie then moves up the stairs, so she stood in front of Jacob.

"I'll come with you. We'll go somewhere – we'll go anywhere - " the two laughed at the idea and Queenie seemed to look as though she could break any moment. "see I ain't never gonna find anyone like you - "

"There's loads like me." Jacob bravely spoke, but he too almost looked like he would break.

"No...no...there's only one like you." She argued. I couldn't deal with the painful atmosphere of the two world-crossed-lovers, it was unbearable.

"I gotta go." Jacob suddenly said, and he turned away, his back facing Queenie. He wiped his face and was about to enter the storm.

"JACOB!" Newt yelled, trying to stop him.

"It's okay...it's okay...it's okay. It's just like waking up, right?" he tried to smile at his little connection to how the spell would seem to him. I smiled back, and I knew everybody else did. Jacob then looked at everyone of us and then stepped back, entering the storm. He tilted his head back, letting the rain fall on his face, his arms were raising, taking in every drop. Queenie then lifted her wand and walked forward, creating an umbrella with her wand. She walked till she was right in front of Jacob. I saw her wipe his lips and lean in to kiss him. She closed her eyes as she did so, a sudden sniff was heard, and I turned up to Newt, his eyes looking bloodshot and dull. As Queenie walked away, leaving Jacob out in the rain she move back to us.

"Goodbye, friend...Jacob Kowalski" I whispered the same words I did, before nearly dying at MACUSA. We then Apparated, leaving Jacob alone.
