This chapter and chapters to come including information about Newt's past at school may change and be edited to suit the story that J.K has created. It will be changed in future so if there is anything, please let me know.
"Bugger – the Niffler's gone. Of course he has, little bugger. Any chance to get his hands on something shiny." Newt said. He and I wear alone for Jacob wanted to see the Mooncalves again.
"He'll come up sometime. We'll find him Newt." I walked up to him and placed my hand on his shoulder.
"Hey," he turned to face me as he spoke. "You know how I tried to talk to you yesterday, but Tina interrupted me." I nodded, recalling the moment before we left to find Jacob.
"What about it?"
"Well, I want to tell you what I was going to tell you. O-Or more ask you."
"Ok..." I don't know why, but I felt nervous and scared. He fully turned around and grabbed my hand from his shoulder and took it in his.
"Why did you leave? Why did you take the blame to?" I was shocked by what he asked me. I had my reasons and he wanted to know. I sighed, ready to begin.
"The second questions easy...I couldn't keep coming when seventh years kept picking on me and third years in Ravenclaw where to annoying...I couldn't cope with all of it without my best friend. I left because of my father - "
"Has this got to do with your mother...?" he asked. I nodded.
"My father, had been driven into madness after what happened to her. Now Jacobs gone I can tell you what happened." I took a deep breath and Newt came to my side.
"It's ok. You don't have to tell me." He said, tears welling in my eyes.
"Yes...I do..." I whispered. "My mother was – was killed by Gellert Grindelwald. I came to America to try find him, then – then the paper said they hadn't seen him...and – and - " I was in tears. Newt pulled me into a hug.
"Shhhhh," he patted my hair as I cried.
"I – I'm sorry." I sobbed. He just held me for a while. Once I calmed down he pulled away.
"You don't have to be sorry. You still need to answer a question. Why would a Ravenclaw like you have done that for a Hufflepuff like me?" he asked.
"Because I-I-I-" I was cut off by a sudden hissing noise.
"I'm sorry, wait here." Newt ran off and stood there not knowing what to do. So I followed him.
When I arrived Jacob was standing in the white, snow covered room and Newt was opposite him. I stood behind Newt and was thankful he didn't see me.
"Stand back." He cried sharply to Jacob. He startled and knocked out of his trance.
"Jeez..." Jacob cried.
"Step back..." Newt sharply said once again. Taking a step towards Jacob.
"What's the matter with this?" he questioned.
"I said step away."
"What the hell is this thing?" I moved around to see. I gasped when I saw it.
"It's an Obscurus..." I spoke and Newt turned around.
"I thought I told you to stay by the Niffler's nest." Newt cried grabbing my arms gently and pulling me out.
"Why do you have an Obscurus?" I whispered. Newt shock his head, addressing me to not ask questions and his eyes said he would tell me another time. We arrived back at the hut, Newt's feeling's turning cold and worried to find his creatures.
"I need to get going, find everyone who's escaped before they get hurt."
"I'm coming with you." I told him sternly. He nodded in gratitude.
"Before they could get hurt?" Jacob questioned, not understanding where we came from.
"Yes, Mr Kowalski. See, they're currently in alien terrain, surrounded by millions of the most vicious creatures on the planet." Newt said, pausing.
"Humans." We said together, sharing a worried look.
"So where would you say a medium-sized creature that likes broad, open plains – trees – waterholes – that kind of thing – where might she go?" I could tell Newt was talking about the Erumpent. My one was male, so if we needed I could get him. For he was very well tammied.
"In New York City?" Jacob asked.
"Yes."
"Plains? Ah – Central Park?"
"And where is that exactly?" I asked.
"Where is Central Park? Well look, I would show you, but, don't you think its kind of a double cross? The girls take us in – they make us hot cocoa..." Jacob was daisied, most likely thinking of Queenie.
"You do realise that when they see you've stopped sweating, they'll Obliviate you in a heartbeat." I said referring to the girls. More towards Tina.
"What does 'Bliviate' mean?"
"It'll be like you wake up and all memory of magic is gone." Newt explained.
"I won't remember any of this?"
"No" Newt said.
"All right, yeah – okay – I'll help you."
"Come on, then." Newt said, brightening up again and looking at me. We shared a smile and got ready to leave.
