We hadfinally arrived at Central Park. We were all running to get across the bridge, but some big bird got in the way. I heard a low rumble and could tell I wasn'tthe only one who could hear it, Newt turned to see the outline of the park, butmy case rattled, Jacob gave it back when we landed for Apparating. Newt then grabbed something from his briefcase andhanded it to Jacob.
"Put thison." He said, Jacob looked confused. Newt had given him a helmet and achest-plate to wear while we go to the Erumpent.
"Why – why would I have to wear something like this?" he just held it inhis hands. I took it and placed it on him as Newt explained.
"Because your skull is susceptible to breakage under immense force."Newt ran once he was finished. Jacob looked to me as I placed the helmet onhim.
"Is that true?" He questioned, horroron his face. I chuckled lightly at his reaction.
"Sadlyyes, as a professional and your friend, I would suggest you wear this, MrKowalski." I told him.
"We're friends?"
"Of course." I pulled his arm, wanting to catch up with Newt. There wasa small silence while we walked.
"Do you like Newt?" Jacob suddenly asked. I turned to him, my face going red and dumbstruck.
"Uh – uh – ahh. It's kind of complicated." I said, but I knew it wasn't. I had fallen in love with my best friend all over again. He just made me so happy and he was so much the same as his younger self.
"It seems you do..." I turned to him, going darker and he laughed. "You two are cute. I would definitely love to have something like what you two have." That made me smile and think of Newt even more then before. We went back to silence and continued to walk.

We caught up to Newt, who was waiting for us at the gate.
"What took you so long?" My cheeks were pink, I was still surprised at how obvious it seemed to Jacob so now, just while we get the Erumpent...I will ignore Newt. I know it would be hard, but I needed to think.
"We were talking about the Erumpent." Jacob said, I turned to him, saying 'thanks' with my eyes.
"Now there's absolutely nothing for you to worry about." Newt went Zoologist mode.
"Tell me – has anyone ever believed you when you told them not to worry?" Jacob asked. I always trusted Newt, even if we were in a tight situation and wear about to die and he told me to do something risk taking.
"My philosophy is that worrying means you suffer twice." His philosophy took me awhile to adjust to, but he was right. You would suffer more if you worried to much. Jacob didn't really understand Newt's 'wisdom'. We then started to move into the park, I could faintly hear the huffs of the beast in the distance. When we finally found her, she was cornering a hippo.
"She's in season. She needs to mate." Newt defined. I walked up to him and whispered.
"I have a male if we need to go to a last resort." Newt nodded in agreement but looked shocked that I had a male. In season, when the males fight, they tend to blow each other up because of their horns. Mine may have been one of the only male ones that wasn't blow to bits. I shivered at the thought as Newt's hand dived into a pocket and pulled out a vial of liquid. He pulled it open with his teeth and spat the cork away, dabbing it on his fingers and giving me the vial. He pressed his fingers that had the liquid on it to his neck, like you would place perfume on or something.
"Are you going to help me?" He asked. I nodded, so much for staying away. He turned to Jacob once I applied the liquid to my own neck.
"Erumpent musk – she is mad for it." He gave me a small evil look in his expression, becoming more of a scientist experimenting on rats or guineapigs. I passed the vial to Jacob and smiled at how we looked like he was afraid to touch it. Newt had come to me and touched my arm, I jumped slightly and turned, he swung his head to the Erumpent. I nodded...It was time to catch the beast.
