"So are you guys dating?" The interviewer asks Lexee and Nick on the red carpet.

Even though Nick's hand is firmly placed on Lexee's hips, he answers, "No, we're not."

"We came together as friends," Lexee adds.

"You came as each other's dates though," the interview laughs with a slightly curious tone, which is understandable because, at this point, the whole world is confused about what their relationship status is.

"No, we came as friends," she repeats lightly. This time, she doesn't sound as annoyed as she did before. This is probably because she understands where all the confusion comes from. Honestly, she feels just as confused, but that's really on her. She doesn't know what she wants.

"Sure, I'll take your word for it," the interviewer says, and Nick, for one, is pleased. "I just think it's adorable that you guys are matching though." Nick almost lets out a sigh, but he has to agree that they are cute. "So what can you guys tease for us about your upcoming stuff?"

Nick and Lexee both glance at each other and for a second—even if it's just for a split second—it seems like they're stuck in their own world.

"We can't tell you too much, but be on the lookout. There might be a massive collaboration coming," Lexee teases with a little smirk.

"Are you saying that you guys have a single together?"

"Maybe." Nick shrugs, glancing to the side, which is all the confirmation they needed.

"This video isn't going to be online until tomorrow right?" Lexee whispers to the interviewer.

The interviewer whispers back, "It'll be up at the end of the day tomorrow."

"Great!" She beams. "Our announcement is going to come out tomorrow morning, so I guess we can spill some news." She bites her lip. "It's a very special song to both of us. We wrote it together."

"It's about our relationship. It's more on the downside of things," Nick elaborates, "but we wrote it as a reminder so we never forget that part of our story. It's an important part in both of our lives. It's a part of how we got to where we are now, and now, we're happy."

"Yeah." Lexee glanced up at Nick, and some people can even testify that she was gazing lovingly at him. "We're happy."

Nick placed his arm around her shoulder and kissed her temple just before the interview ended.

"After our breakup, how were you?" I ask Nick.

"I thought you were dating Miles for quite some time," Nick tells me, almost ashamed. My head is on his stomach as he lays vertically on my bed, back against the backboard, and I lay horizontally.

I laugh out loud, the whole snort and everything. "That's ridiculous."

"We didn't talk anymore, so how was I supposed to know?" He inquires, sounding a bit somber.
