Part 9 ~ Trust

Loki ~

I was still furious, I went back to my room and tossed and turned on my bed until I heard a familiar noise.

Y/n.

I walked out of my room and saw Sif had heard it too.

We both walked to the ball room to see y/n playing the piano.

She either played the piano when she was sad or for fun. She once said that playing helps her think. 

When she played her body moved with the melody, leaning in and out as she ran her fingers along the keys. Her music almost felt magical making everyone around her feel the emotions in the song. 

Me and Sif stood quietly and I heard soft sniffles come from her.

"She played this at queen Frigga's birthday a few years ago, I haven't heard her play it again till now." Sif whispered looking at me.

I nodded my head. 

As she continued, Sif started humming along.

Thor and Fandral walked in and stood by us.

Thor then went over and grabbed Sif's hand and pulled her out to the floor and started dancing.

They looked happy, I knew they liked each other for a long time. They were never afraid to show it, always talking and teasing one another.

I walked over to y/n and offered my hand, she gladly took it while still playing the music with her magic.

We swayed around the floor lightly, feet barely on the ground. She was smiling but I could still feel the hurt in her e/c eyes.

Fandral ~

I watched the two pairs dance on the floor, I was now standing next to Hogun and Volstagg since they just walked in.

It hurt me that we were lied to, and more hurt that the king and queen lied to them for practically their entire lives. 

I hope they can forgive them for it.

Frigga ~

I felt horrible, I left the throne room so I could think. I heard something in the ballroom so I followed it.

Y/n was playing, she was playing the song she played at my birthday four years ago. I stood just outside the ballroom and looked inside, my sons were dancing with the two girls and they were happy. I smiled and felt my eyes tear up.

When I heard the song come to a close, I walked away.

Y/n ~

As the song ended, I hugged Loki.

"That was beautiful darling." He said smiling after we pulled away.

Darling. That word, it made me feel safe, loved...

I smiled back at him.

"Thank you."

I turned around and saw my friends all smiling at me.

I looked at all of them, we all felt the same thing, hurt, pain, anger.

A guard comes running in.

"King Odin asks for you all to meet in the throne room now!" He says breathless as if he ran here.

We all run to the throne room to see the king and queen looking worried.

"Someone has gotten word over to Svartalfheim that y/n is here, they are planning to attack so we need to go there first." Odin said holding onto the queens hand."

We nodded our heads. 

"We will leave in the morning, dismissed," Odin said waving his hand in the air motioning for us to leave.

We left the throne room and walked to our chambers.

"Brother..." Thor said looking at Loki. He winced at the word but let him continue.

"I'm so sorry," Thor said with sadness in his eyes.

Loki stayed silent.

"Brother look at m-"

"No!" Loki said glaring at him.

"And I'm not your brother, stop using that word," he said raising his voice a little.

"Loki..." I started, pulling on his arm to get his attention.

Thor glared at him before huffing and pulling Sif ahead with him.

I shifted so I was now holding Loki's hand tightly. We walked silently down the hall.

As I approached my room, I looked at him.

"Goodnight Loki,"

"Goodnight y/n."

He kissed me lightly on the lips and disappeared behind his door.

I sighed and went into my room.

I decided to take a bath and relax myself.

After I was finished, I polished and sharpened my weapons and set them next to my bed ready to go for the morning, I put my armor on and braided my hair into a ponytail. 

I then pulled out a book and read. As I read, my mind wouldn't stop replaying what had happened on Jotunheim. The dark sickening chuckles Laufey made, me killing 15 of our finest warriors out of rage. I felt horrible, I was lied to for many years thinking I was an Asgardian. 

And Loki...

He was lied to his entire life.
