Part 8 ~ The truth

Third person ~

Many emotions were flying around the throne room after Loki and y/n killed king Laufey. The pair on the ground in a tight embrace, crying. 

The room was quiet other than their soft sobs.

The five others looked around in shock. all 15 soldiers and Jotuns died in the impact. None of the seven elites or the king were killed because of the armor given to them by the queen. 

After a long hour, everyone finally left the palace and got onto their horses. 

Both Loki and y/n had returned to their other forms. neither of them spoke as the rode back to the forest where Heimdall would take them back to Asgard.

Y/n ~

I was still in shock as we rode across the rainbow bridge towards the palace. Everyone kept their distance from me and Loki. Both of us not saying a single word.

We took our horses to the stables, I put my horse in her stall next to Loki's. After I closed the stall door Loki grabbed my hand. They were still shaking. His eyes were bloodshot. Mine probably were too.

We all made our way to the palace.

Frigga was waiting on her throne and jumped up in excitement when she saw us but when she saw me and Loki, she froze and looked at Odin.

"Tomorrow we will honor the fallen. I have chosen lady Sif to shoot the flaming arrows. you are all dismissed. Loki, y/n, I need you both to stay behind please."

After everyone left, me and Loki stood in the middle of the throne room still silent.

Odin spoke again.

"Loki, y/n. I never wanted you to learn of your true parentage that way-"

"Were you ever going to tell us?!" Loki cut in.

I was getting angry, I gripped my staff harder and Frigga saw.

"Darling I'm so sor-"

"Stop! You were never going to tell us! Why?!" The last word I said quavered a bit.

Odin looked at me. "Your parents were horrible beings, we took you both in so we could raise you in a better way, you both would have suffered if you stayed with them."

I slammed my hand on one of the two large tables still standing from when Frigga gave us our gifts.

Loki glared at Odin.

"That's still not going to change the fact you lied to us." He spat and pulled me out of the throne room.

After we stepped outside he hugged me, his shoulders were shaking. He was crying.

"Loki..." 

"Th-they l-lied to us," he sobbed holding tighter.

"Hey, listen to me." I said pulling his chin to look at me.

"They didn't mean to hurt us, yes I'm furious they lied to us. But they had good intentions. They wanted for us to have a better life."

He lightly nodded his head.

Then He leaned in and kissed me.

The kiss was light, but passionate, lasting only a few seconds.

He pulled away looking into my eyes.

"Y/-" before he could finish, I kissed him again. This time it was deeper, fiery, he pushed me against the curtained wall and slightly lifted me up so I could wrap my legs around him. I smiled against his lips before we pulled apart, gasping for air. 

"I love you," he breathed into my ear.

I smiled again, "I love you too."

We left the hall and went to the gardens.

Sif ~

Me, Thor, and the others went to the astronomy tower.

We were still shocked about Loki and y/n.

Then Thor smashed his hand along the railing.

"Ugh! I should have known!" He yelled to no one in particular.

"Thor..." I said looking at him.

"I'm sorry." Hogun said looking down.

Thor gripped the railing and looked at me.

"They lied to us, and them. Why would they do that?!" He said angry.

I shook my head. "I have no idea."

"I wonder what they were talking about." Volstagg said referring to the king, queen, y/n and Loki. Fandral nodding in agreement.

I went up and hugged Thor from behind, I felt his back tense up for a second and then he turned around and hugged me back.

"It's okay," I said trying to comfort Thor who was still shaking with anger.

He nodded his head and buried his head in my hair. We stayed like that for a while and he calmed down.

I pulled away and smiled at him. "Feel better?"

"Much," he said grinning back.

We all stood by the railing watching the sky as the sun went down. The beautiful colors painting the sky was breathtaking. Yellow bleeding into orange, into pink, purple, then blue. 

We all stayed up there for a while, the only sound you could here were the rustling of leave and birds chirping.

After the sun set we all decided it was time to go to our chambers and turn in for the night.

The halls were quiet and I didn't see either Loki or y/n. Their doors were slightly cracked open indicating they weren't there. It was a code all of us came up. 

Then I heard the faint sound of a piano...
