Chapter 17

Nari's POV

I was walking back and forth, waiting for the doctor to check on Jisung. I kept biting my nails as I felt uneasy with this whole situation.

The moment I heard the door being opened, I immediately ran to the doctor and asked what happened.

"Are you Han Jisung's friend?" he asked and I nodded.

"He's fine now. He's just tired, make sure he will rest a lot," the doctor smiled and I sighed in relief. I really thought something bad happened to him.

"Is he awake now?" I asked.

"Yes, he's conscious now. You may visit him," he informed.

"Okay, thank you." I smiled and bowed several times as he bowed too.

Jisung's POV

I was staring blankly at the hospital door when Nari's face suddenly popped out from there.

I smiled when I saw her and she smiled back.

"How's your condition?" she asked as she took a seat beside my bed.

"Way better. The doctor gave me some vitamins," I replied.

She suddenly hit me slightly on my arm which made me widened my eyes.

"What's that for?" I rubbed my right arm and pouted.

"Don't overwork yourself, Jisung. I know you have to get good grades to get into Seoul University but you have to rest," she said.

I chuckled, "Fine fine! Are you worried about me?"

"Of course I am!" she frowned.

She's so cute when she's mad.

"By the way, what did the doctor tell you?" I asked.

She shrugged, "He just told me that you're tired and you have to rest well."

I nodded.

Good, she doesn't have to know the truth. I will never let that happen. I won't ever make her worry about me.

"By the way, the doctor said you may go home tomorrow," she informed and I nodded again.

"Can you please stay with me until tomorrow?" I asked, even though I knew what her answer would be.

She was hesitant before she said, "I would like to, but I have something to do... I'm sorry, Jisung-ah."

I shook my head and smiled sweetly at her, "It's fine, don't worry too much."

She smiled back and hugged me, which shocked me a little but soon I hugged her back while caressing her hair gently.

"I love you," I whispered unconsciously.

"Aigoo, I love you too," she laughed, of course thinking that I love her as a friend, as always.

We broke the hug and finally bid farewell to each other. I sighed when she was out of my sight.

At least she doesn't know about my disease.

Nari's POV

After going out of Jisung's room, I immediately went upstairs to Felix's room again. I told him about Jisung's condition when he was unconscious, and he surprisingly let me accompanied Jisung.

"How is he?" Felix's voice greeted me the moment I stepped inside.

"He's fine, the doctor said that he's just too tired," I replied while sitting on the big couch next to the window.

"That's good then. I thought something serious happened to him," he said. "You were so panicked just now."

"Of course! I was calling with you and right when I came back, he collapsed. I kept calling his name but he wasn't answering me!" I explained and crossed my arms.

He grinned, "Okay, calm down."

We stayed quiet and didn't talk to each other for one good minute when he suddenly broke the silence. "Nari-ah, come here."

I lazily got up and stood beside the bed. "What?"

He pat the empty space beside him on the bed, "Sleep here."

"No thanks," I said and was about to go back when he pulled my wrist.

"You promised me to rest~" he whined.

"No, I only promised you to eat in front of you."

"Oh right! You haven't eat!" he exclaimed. "Now eat first, then sleep here."

"Fine, I'll eat," I sighed and took the plastic bag to the table near the couch.

I started slurping the noodle and didn't realize that Felix was staring at me the whole time, while smiling.

After I was done, I went out to throw the plastic bag and went back in only to be greeted by the empty bed.

"Felix?" I called.

"BAA!" he appeared behind the door, which successfully shocked me. I stumbled back, and my butt was ready to hit the floor when Felix caught me in time.

We were staring at each other for a few seconds before he groaned in pain and let me go.

I fell on the ground and groaned too. I shot my head up and glared at him, "YAH!!"

He kept holding his back, "Sorry! My back suddenly hurts!"

I widened my eyes and immediately stood up to check on him. I cursed under my breath when a red color stain was spotted on his white hospital gown.

"Sh*t Felix! Your wound! You're bleeding again!" I panicked.

He pulled my hand and made me faced him. He calmly forced a smile, "It's fine, I'll ask the doctor to stitch it again."

"Now.." he pulled me near the bed and looked at me. "You sleep first, or if you can't sleep, just close your eyes and rest."

With a lot of hesitation, I finally climbed up to the bed. He smiled in satisfaction, "I'll be back after getting my stitches done."

I just nodded before he went out of the room.

What the hell? He suddenly became so sweet and gentle? What has gotten into him?

Felix's POV

I closed the door behind me and smiled. Nari had been sacrificing her time and health for me. Now it's my time to take care of her.

I went downstairs to where my doctor's room was located. He was gonna get mad at me for not taking care of myself properly but I didn't care.

The stitch got opened right when I caught Nari, and the pain was unbearable so I had to let her go.

While humming my favorite song, Hellevator, I went out of the elevator. (a/n. it rhymes lol) I halt my steps when I saw who was right in front of me, staring at me with his wide eyes.

Uwuuu this chapter is so fluffy, full of cute moments with Jisung and Felix. Hope you all like the chapter! Anyway, guess what disease that Jisung has. It'll be revealed in further chapters.
