Mark's Pov

"You can't keep that dog," Sean said as I walked back to the kitchen, he was lending up against the island.

"Why not? He doesn't have an address on his tags and he looked like he hasn't been taken care of for a while."

"You cannot have a service dog and another dog in the same house, Henry will distract Chica and she will not be able to help Amy. What if she goes into another flashback, which we both know will happen, Chica will be playing with Henry and not help Amy."

"You do know that Chica has distracted herself and not came to Amy's need before."

"What? Why haven't you told me?"

"Sean, she is a dog! Yes, she is trained but just like us, they don't always want to work. How about this, I will tell Amy what you said and if she still wants to keep Henry then both dogs are staying."

"Tell me what?" Amy asked coming down the steps, Henry and Chica followed.

"Amy," Sean said, "It is not a good idea to keep Henry, he can and will distract Chica and she will not help you at times."

"I only really need Chica when we are in public, plus, I already said I am keeping him, so he is staying."

"You're making a mistake."

"I have made a lot of them in my life already."

He shook his head.

"Fine, if he distracts Chica and I get hurt then I will give him to you."

"Deal, I need to get back to the office." He left the house.

"I am not giving Henry up." Amy looked at me.

"He stays, he is now part of the family."

We both looked at Henry who was wagging his tail smiling.

"It has been a morning already, why don't we get something to eat," I said.

She looked up at me, before she got the chance to say anything I pulled her in for a kiss.

"I am so sorry, I just want to keep you safe. I wasn't thinking of what I did, I just did it. I know me saying sorry is not going to make up for the fact that I broke a pinky promise and I will do everything I can to make up for it."

"I know you meant well but."

"There is no excuse for it, I just want you safe."

"I already know that when I am with you I am safe. Thank you for sticking up for Henry, can Sean take him away?"

"He can, if he feels that Henry is stopping Chica from watching you. But I will come up with a way to keep him here."

She wrapped her arms around me.

"This is our family, we will keep everyone together," I said holding her.

Chica and Henry were at our feet circling us.

"I think they are giving us a hug," Amy said laughing.

"They want to stay a family, we are going to have to buy him a bed, bowls for food and water, some toys and get him to the vet."

Henry let out a huge whimper.

"I know you don't want to go but we need to make sure you are healthy."

He laid down then buried his face under his paw.

"He is trying to be cute, so we don't take him," Amy said.
