What if...? (Cal x Rose Love Story)

(A/N: Imagine Nathan Hockley as an older version of Cal and Catherine as Megan Fox)

"Did you know that Natalie always smiles when she is sleeping? It's so cute!"
"Maybe that's a sign for us that there's nothing we are doing wrong with her." We suddenly  hear a sound of someone falling to the floor and footsteps running up the stairs, then Cal's door flies open. It's Catherine. "Caledon, please come! Your father just had a stroke or something, I'll call a doctor!" He gives Natalie to me and quickly runs downstairs. I slowly follow him and see that Nathan Hockley is lying there on the floor, his glass of brandy right beneath him. To me, it seems like his little mistress has intoxicated him and that's why he is lying there, he hadn't had a stroke. My female intuition says that, and my female intuition is always right. I then go upstairs again and feed Natalie with the bottle. "Rose, my father is brought to hospital. The doctor said he hadn't had a stroke." What did I just say about my female intuition?
"What did he have then?"
"They will examine it at the hospital, but the doctor said something about an intoxication."
So?!
I would've liked to say: "I knew it right from the start that his very special mistress Catherine would do something to him someday." But I just say: "Oh no, I hope he will get well soon!" "I will go there now, you decide whether you want to stay here with Natalie or you want to join me. "I think it's better if we stay here. I'll see you then!"
Catherine comes upstairs again. "Rose? Can I talk to you?" "Of course. So, what is it?"
"And you promise me that you won't tell it anyone?"
"I promise."
"The thing is, I... have fallen in love with Nathan when I met him at a celebration of Hockley Steel. I am the daughter of a steel company owner, too, but all the money belongs to my father. I'm already 32 and I always wanted to live in the same wealth like my father, I always wanted to have a husband and children and to be financially safe. I'm not. My father kicked me out and I began to live here. Nathan is a good man, he cares for me and loves me nearly every night, to be honest. But I know that I can't live here forever, Nathan told me that he doesn't want to get married again because the loss of his beloved wife Candice still hurts. Rose, believe me when I tell you..." She starts crying. "...I didn't have any other chance than trying to kill him because I need the money! You understand me? I didn't want this! And, the second thing is that I think that I'm infertile!"

I don't know if I should try to comfort her now or leave her alone with her problems, I feel like she is acting very much, but then I place my hand on her back. "Catherine, with all due respect, it is absolutely not right to kill somebody just because you are having financial problems. And in respect to your thought that you are infertile, go to the doctor's and if you are and Nathan really loves you, he will accept this."
"To be honest, Rose, thanks for your compassion, but..." She stares at me angrily, in a way that I would like to cry for help and run away from her. I knew that she was acting! I knew right from the start that she is a jealous and nasty brat! And I fear what will happen now because there is nobody there to save me.
