WARNING: A bit of homophobic language and uh, profanity involved in this chapter. Trust me, I do not like getting called these things either.CYRUS' POV
I'd say my life right now is amazing. I have a boyfriend, yesterday I came out to my parents (which surprisingly went well), and my best friends are still there for me. I've never been happier.
I got to the door of Jefferson. TJ was holding my hand tightly, not wanting to let go. I opened the door with confidence, something that I'd usually never do.
"Oh look, it's the fags!" Someone yelled with a chuckle. TJ turned as red as a tomato. I'd understand why.
"Pff, fuck off," I chuckled, kissing TJ's cheek as a reassurance. In return, almost everyone cheered for us as if we were celebrities. At that moment, I did feel like one. TJ's sweaty palms got back to normal, and we continued walking until we were stopped by the same homophobic kid that witnessed us at the door.
"You deserve this, faggot." He muttered under his breath. I didn't realize that he slugged my face first, before I fell onto a locker. I blacked out.
"C-C-Cyrus, w-w-wake u-u-up," TJ stuttered. I figured that he was crying, seeing the streams on his cheeks.
I wiped his cheeks with my thumb, "It's ok babe, I'm alright and cuter than ever," I winked.
TJ turned red again and started hugging me as tight as he could. I didn't realize that we were in the nurse's office, with an ice pack on my cheek. Andi and Buffy burst into the room.
"Cyrus, are you okay?" They asked in unison. They were extremely concerned for me, and I was so happy to see them.
"I'm fine, I was punched in the face and blacked out, but I'm fine," I joked.
"Cyrus, we've literally been dating for 3 days." TJ whispered, but loud enough for me to hear. "I don't need this to happen to you again."
I heard Andi and Buffy high five each other, "What are you guys doing?" I asked.
"Too much chemistry between you. We knew from the start that you were going to date." Andi explained, with a huge grin on her face.
"Mhm," Buffy agreed, "TJ Kippen, if you hurt my best friend as much as Danny did earlier, I won't hesitate to murder the shit out of you."
"Yes ma'am!" TJ yelled back, saluting Buffy as if she was his drill sargeant.
I laughed in response of this. I thought I was the dork here. "You're such a dork," I said to TJ, turning his face toward mine and giving him a tiny peck on the lips. He kindly gave in. It's actually pretty easy being nice, to a bitter boy like him. (See what I did there?)
"We're still at school, lovebirds." Buffy laughed.
"Fine, fine."
The nurse walked in, "Cyrus Goodman, are you okay now? You don't seem to be bruised anywhere or anything."
I nodded. "I can go to class now, right?"
"It's 4 PM. School's been out for at least half an hour now. You may go."
Wait, really?
"Alright then." I agreed, before walking out of the door.
TJ'S POV
I tripped on a rock while Cyrus and I were walking to The Spoon. After he finished laughing at my surprising stupidity, I changed the topic by giving him a kiss. It's always something that I'll resort to.
Once we went to our usual booth (the one closest to the door), we ordered the usual. Baby taters and a chocolate shake, that'll be shared.
"TJ, just a question," Cyrus asked me, with a bit of fear in his voice. My instincts took control as I slid my arm around his shoulder and pulled him closer to my chest.
"Ask away, Underdog." I replied, smiling at him before kissing his forehead.
"How could you ever like me?" He asked, while I hear a silent sob coming from him. This must've been from earlier.
"Love at first sight." After saying that, I put my hands around his cheeks and turned his head towards me, to face me. "I loved everything about you, ever since we first met. How intimidating you thought I was, how dorky you are, how you have a list of fears, how you've came out of your comfort zone, Cyrus Goodman, there's so many things I love about you. There could be a list that stretches longer than your fears list. Don't ever ask me that again." I took a breath, since that was a lot; but it was worth every word.
His face was extremely close to mine, that I forgot that we were at The Spoon with an unfinished basket of baby taters. We decided to gobble most of the village up, saving some room for Cyrus' tater theatre. I loved it.
We walked hand in hand out of The Spoon, going to the park where we first met. It's a routine that's most likely never going to ever change.

Happy Birthday Joshua Rush! Thank you for being such an inspiration to so many of us, and helping me get into the show. I appreciate you so much.
I feel like this was the best written chapter I've had so far, even if it was under 1,000 words. It's pretty okay.
While writing this chapter, I found out the news of Stoney Westmoreland being arrested. This came as a shock and surprise to me. My message responding to this is on my Tumblr @tyruskoodman.
What do you think should happen next?
