Today Archie is home in bed because he just had surgery on his knee after his last football game.
Flash Back
Archie is warming up with the team. He then gets thirsty and goes to get a drink. While he is drinking his water he feels small arms wrap around him. He turns around and kisses Veronica.
A- Hi Baby
V- Hey lover boy
A- I am excited to see you perform during halftime.
V- I am excited to watch my man win the state championship.
They both lean in and kiss. They stop once they hear the coach calling for Archie. Archie runs off to his coach and Veronica back to her Vixens. The bulldogs are huddled around Archie since he is the captain.
A- Alright boys this is it. For some of us this is our last time playing football ever and others it our last time playing for Riverdale so tonight we are going to beat the Greendale werewolves and party even harder after that.
All the boys scream and cheer, little did they know that they would not be partying tonight. On the other team, they have a plan to win and it involves Archie Andrews.
They Game is just about to start the Bulldogs are having the ball kicked to them first. They kick it and Archie catches it and run 20 yards before he is tackled. Archie looks up to the stands and sees the USC coach smiling and writing things down.
5 minutes before halftime and the Bulldogs are in possession of the ball. The Bulldogs are up by 5 put want to go into halftime with a bigger lead to be safe. So Archie and Reggie's decide to do a really tough play. Reggie is going to toss the ball to Archie and he is going to run to the touchdown with no one to protect him.
On the other team they decide they need to do there plan now. The ball is snapped and Archie has the ball and is running he passes all the players except for two. They catch up to him but don't tackle him until they are both on either side of him. Then they both go in and Archie jumps but one of the opposing players helmet goes into Archie's knee. Once Archie hit the ground the other player steps on his knee. The bulldogs run over and start tackling the two player, meanwhile Archie is lying on the ground because it's too painful to move.
After the refs stop the mayhem, the whole stadium sees Archie on the ground not moving. Veronica runs out to him with all the coaches and doctors. As she comes closer she sees his knee is really messed up.
She drops to the ground and grabs his head and buts it on her lap and grabs his hand.
V- Baby I got you
A- Ronnie my knee hurts so Bad
V- Don't worry we will get through this together
The doctor starts to look at his knee.
D- where is your legal guardian
V- He is out of town
D- Ok is there any family in town we can call
Veronica looks at Archie and sees he is in a lot of pain and very scared because he won't let go of her hand.
V- No but I am his girlfriend
D- ok then your coming with us into the ambulance
A- like I was getting in there without her
Everyone starts to laugh. They grab Archie and put him on a stretcher and Veronica is still holding his hand.
End of Flashback
Archie just turned on the tv and started to watch some cartoons since he still was a little high on the medication the doctor gave him yesterday. While Archie was watching tv in bed every student at Riverdale was at school. Veronica wished she could be with Archie right now.
Archie on the other hand was done with staying in bed all day, so he go up and hopped over to his bathroom and started a bath. Once the water was hot and ready he got in. It was a little painful on his knee but he didn't care.
