Archie was walking down the noisy hall towards his locker when he got a phone call from his Dad.
A- Hey Dad what's up?
N- Hi Mr. Andrews this a nurse from Riverdale hospital is there a chance you can come over now.
Archie starts to feel bad in his stomach.
A- Um sure but why do you have my Dads phone.
N- We will explain once you get here.
A- Ok
Archie hung up, turned around and left school.
While Archie was driving he passed a truck that looked like his Dad's but instead of the nice and new look it had to it, this one was smashed into a tree. Archie kept driving but started to feel the pit in his stomach grow.
Once Archie arrived he walked to the front desk.
A- Hi I'm Archie Andrews.
N- Hi I was the one talking on the phone with you earlier. Can you please follow me?
A- Sure.
Archie started to put it all together.
Once they got to a secluded room he knew what was happening but just did not want to accept it.
A- Where's my Dad?
N- I'm so sorry Mr. Andrews but he passed away.
A- No..
Archie dropped to the floor sobbing.
N- Is there anyone we can call.
A- My mom please.
N- Ok, can you give us her number.
A- Sure.
Archie said her number in between sobs.
The nurse left to talk to Marry witch left Archie alone with his thoughts. "He's really gone" "I'm a horrible son" "All my friend are going to pity me"
Archie couldn't think anymore because the nurse came back in.
N- Your Mom is getting the first ticket out here. You should probably go home and rest. Here are yours Dads possessions.
Archie took them and then went home. While all this was happening Veronica was at school.
Veronica walked down the hallway to her locker witch is right next to Archie's. She is confused when she doesn't see him there but just thinks he got caught up so she heads to her next class.
At lunch Veronica is with the usual group of friends but no Archie.
V- Hey guys has anyone seen Archie today.
B- I saw him walk into school but after that I haven't seen him at all.
J- Yah I saw him get a phone call but I left before it ended.
V- Ok so he is not at school?
T- Yah he wasn't in 4th period.
C- And 2nd.
V- Ok I'm going to text him to make sure he is ok.
B- Sounds good V.
K- I love protective Veronica for her Archiekins.
This causes Veronica to blush but she can't get distracted when it comes to Archie so she pulls out her phone and texts him.
V- Hi Archie where are you?
V- I just want to know your ok?
V- Text me when u get this.
After that Veronica and the gang keep talking like normal until the bell rings. Veronica checks her phone and sees no texts from Archie yet but she isn't concerned yet because he is a shitty texter.
After her last class she checks her phone again and finds no response so she begins to worry. So she heads straight for her car and starts the engine but just as she is about to leave she gets a call from Mary. This scares her even more.
V- Hi Mrs. Andrews.
M- Hi Veronica.
She sounds like she crying and Veronica starts to full on worry.
V- Are you ok?
M- No I'm on my way to Riverdale. This morning I got some very sad news that Fred passed and Archie is all alone is what the nurse said. I was wondering if you can go check on him he hasn't answered any of my calls.
Veronica starts crying.
V- Of course and I'm so sorry.
M- Thank you so much. I will be there around 8.
V- Ok.
Veronica hangs up and goes straight to the Andrews's house and opens the door with her key. Once she is inside she calls for Archie.
V- Archie!
She gets no response so she goes to his room and finds it empty then she goes to Fred's room and finds him. He is laying on the bed crying with Vegas next to him. He has his Dad's shirt on.
She rushed over to him and hugs him. That's when he starts crying harder.
A- Ronnie he's gone.
He says sobbing.
Veronica grabs his head softly and places it on her lap.
V- It's ok Archie I'm here for you and I'm not going anywhere.
She says crying as well.
Archie looks up at her with red eyes stained with tears.
A- Ronnie I cant even remember the last thing I said to him because I was to busy trying to do stupid stuff.
V- Archie..
A- Ronnie he probably doesn't know how much I love him.
V- Archie of course he did.
A- How?
V- Archie every time you did something that made him proud that showed your love for him. Now let's just breathe Archie.
Archie starts breathing slowly and his sobs lessen.
A- Thanks Ronnie.
V- You don't have to thank me you are always there for me when I need you now it's my turn.
A- I love you.
He says looking up at her.
V- I love you too.
