This year Veronica is not too excited to celebrate valentines this year since she is not with Archie. Even though she is with Reggie she just does not love it as much as she did when she was with Archie.
Right now she is getting dressed for her date with Reggie. She decided she was going to wear a black dress but once she looked into the mirror she realized she needed to be more festive. So she looked through her jewelry box and found a heart shaped necklace but not any heart shaped necklace; the locket Archie gave to her on their first Christmas together. She knows she cant wear it but she wants to have it with her so she puts it in her sweater pocket.
She then hears honking of the horn signaling Reggie is here, so she puts on her best fake smile and walks out. Once she gets to the car she opens her own door and hops in. Reggie looks her up and down and then frowns.
R- How come you dressed showy when you were with Andrews and now you won't do it for me.
Veronica wants to slap him and say because I don't love you but she can't. She doesn't know if Archie would except her back after she didn't believe him and wasn't there for him when he needed her. So Veronica just smiles.
V- Well I did that because that's all he got to see but you get to see what's underneath.
She says lying through her teeth.
V- So where we going.
R- A party.
V- But it's Valentine's Day.
R- I know.
V- Ok I am just going to stay home then.
R- No you are not.
He's says locking the doors and beginning to drive.
R- We are supposed to be together on this day.
V- Ok but don't drink to much since you are my ride home.
Once they get to the party Reggie heads right to the keg and then to his friends. Veronica sees Toni and decides to hang with her.
V- Hey Toni.
T- Hey, you look like you don't want to be here either. Let me guess Reggie.
V- Yes.
T- Well I am here with Cheryl but she is partying over there.
She says pointing to Cheryl and other people dancing.
V- Well since we are here we can at least enjoy the night.
T- Yah.
They go off and get drinks. After about five too many shots Veronica finds herself stumbling around. She finally finds a wall and tries to steady herself but with the sight she sees she feels as if she is going to pass out.
Archie sees Veronica wobbling and looking shocked so he walks over to help her but then sees what she is so shocked about. Reggie basically has his tongue down Josie; my girlfriends throat. Archie honestly doesn't care about that he is more worried about Veronica so he pulls her into his chest. She is tense at first but then relaxes once she take a big sniff of Archie's chest.
Veronica looks up at Archie and smiles, still clearly drunk.
V- Happy Valentine's Day.
A- Happy Valentine's Day Ronnie.
She looks down and tries to walk away but can't since he is still holding her. Instead of trying to break out of his hold she relaxes into it and lets him pick her up and carry her to his car. Once he gets to the car he places her into the front seat and the goes to his side. As he starts the engine Veronica starts to cuddle up into his chest.
Once they get home Archie carries her into the house, since she fell asleep on him on the way home. He then opens the door to see a very confused Fred and Hiram.
A- Um what is going on.
H- I was just wondering where Veronica was and since Marty Mantel is a Jackass I decided to ask your Dad.
F- Yah and where is Josie and why is Veronica like that.
A- Well at the party I saw Ronnie stumbling around so I went to go help her but when I looked down the hall I saw Reggie and Josie making out and Veronica must have too.
H- So Why is she sleeping in your arms.
A- I didn't want to get her in trouble so I was going to let her sober up here and then I would take her home and make sure she was ok.
H- Wow Fred you really did raise a good kid.
F- That's What I have been telling you.
H- Well I will take Veronica home from here.
He says taking her in his arms.
H- Thank you Archie, I will make sure she knows who she needs to thank in the morning.
A- Don't worry Mr. Lodge I will always take care of Veronica when I can.
H- Thanks Andrews men.
He said as he carried Veronica out the door.
The next morning Veronica got up with a horrible headache. Then she asked herself how she got to her room. All she remembers is Archie being so kind to her and then falling asleep on his chest during the car ride home.
Her thoughts get interrupted when her father walks in.
H- Good morning Mija.
V- Good morning Dad.
H- So you may be wondering how you got home.
V- Yes.
H- Well Archie Andrews being the good man he is carried you to his house to sober up but I was there talking to Fred to see if he knew where you were.
V- So Archie did that all for me.
H- Yes, I guess I judged him wrong.
V- Yah.
H- Oh also I never want to see Reggie around you again.
V- You know what happened?
H- Yes Archie said he saw what made you shocked and he seemed like he didn't even care about Josie cheating. All he cared about was if you were ok.
Veronica smiles
H- Now I am going to leave with that. It is up to you what you want to do with it. Oh and here are my keys.
Once he leaves the room Veronica gets up out of bed and decides she is going to thank Archie in person and dump Reggie.
Veronica heads to the car but is stopped when she feels a strong hand on her wrist. She turns around to see Reggie.
R- Where did you go last night.
Veronica opens her car door and looks at him.
V- Well while you were making out with Josie, Archie came and carried me to his house where he took care of me.
R- Veronica I am so so...
V- Save it Reggie we are done. Now if you would excuse me I am going to go be with Archie again.
Reggie walks off mad and Veronica hops in the car. She is just about to pull out of the Pembrooke but stops when she sees Archie heading her way. So she parks the car and heads over to him.
A- Hey Ronnie I was just coming over to make sure you were ok.
V- I am great thanks to you
She says stepping closer to him.
A- I am sorry your Valentines sucked
V- Well it didn't really.
A- Really. How?
V- Well I realized that I still love you and still want to be with you. If you still want to be with me.
A- Well I lied earlier. I didn't just come to make sure you were ok I came because I still love you and I broke up with Josie.
V- Wow me too.
A- You broke up with Josie too?
She walks over to him and jumps into his arms.
V- No Archiekins I broke up with Reggie because I still love you.
They kiss each other for awhile then Archie pulls away.
A- I still love you too Ronnie.
