Archie gets in a car accident and loses his memory of the last 4 years. Over the last four years he has been married to Veronica and is a father to their two children; Alex their 3 year old boy and Lucy their 1 year old daughter. Archie is now 27 and is a famous Basketball player for the New York Knicks and Veronica also 27 is the owner of her own fashion brand.
Archie just got into his 1960 mustang after a very exhausting practice. Before he drives home he calls Veronica to see if he needs to get dinner for his family.
A- Hey Ronnie do you want me to pick up dinner tonight.
V- No I have made dinner tonight but thanks for asking Baby.
A- No problem love.
V- When will you get home?
A- Probably in 20 minutes if there is no traffic.
V- Well drive safely and see you when you get home.
A- By Ronnie love you.
V- Love you too, Archiekins.
Archie hangs up and starts to drive home but before he gets out of the parking garage Jughead stops him and asks for a ride and Archie says yes. Once Jughead is in the car he turns on the music to the 80's and the both start jamming out. Then Archie starts driving with Jughead home and now they were at a red light and waiting their turn when out of nowhere a huge truck comes and slams into Archie's car flipping them and his car over.
The last thing Archie had in his mind before everything went black was his children and his wife with the thought that he doesn't want to leave them yet.
The next time Archie wakes up he is confused on where he is but then relaxes when he sees Veronica in the chair next to him holding his hand in her two tiny ones. He wonders what happened to him. Archie then looks around and sees Jughead in the bed next to him and Betty holding his hand. Archie kept looking at Betty confused to why she was pregnant because the last time he saw her she was just about to walk Veronica down the aisle at their wedding.
Archie looks back down at Veronica and sees her opening her eyes.
Once Veronica sees his eyes staring at her she starts to smile and hug him and kiss him all over his face.
A- What happened Ronnie.
V- You don't remember?
A- No.
V- You and Jug were driving home from work when a drunk driver hit you and flipped the car over.
A- Jughead and I work together?
V- Stop joking with me Archie this not funny.
Before Archie could respond the doctor walked in.
D- Mr. Andrews I see you are awake. How are you feeling.
A- Good just sore and a little confused.
D- How are you confused?
A- I don't remember some things.
D- What is the last thing you remember?.
A- Our Wedding.
He says looking at Veronica. Veronica just stares at him in concern and then looks at the doctor.
A- What?
V- Archie our wedding was four and a half years ago.
A- What!
He says a bit to loud causing Jughead and Betty to wake up.
B- What's going on?
V- Archie..
Veronica can't finish her sentence because she is balling and hanging onto Archie.
J- Dude what's wrong?
A- Apparently I don't remember the last four and a half years of my life witch would explain why you are pregnant.
He says looking at Betty.
D- This is common Mr. Andrews considering the accident you were in but just to see what actually is going on you are going to have you take an MRI.
A- Ok.
D- I'll be right back.
The doctor leaves and Archie just holds Veronica. After a few moments Veronica looks up at Archie.
V- Do you really not remember? Please tell me this is some sick joke and you thought it would be funny since I did a mean prank to you.
Veronica says this because right before his big game Veronica told him her water broke as a joke but he got so scared he almost ran her out of the stadium and to the hospital. After awhile of reassuring him that she was fine he went onto the court.
A- I am sorry Veronica I can't remember I wish I could.
Archie looks down at his lap sadly and lets go of Veronica.
J- Hey Arch Don't worry I am sure that you will get your memory back.
Archie doesn't answer just keeps staring at his hands trying to fight the tears that are just about to be shed.
After seeing this Veronica gives Betty a look telling her that she needs to give them some space and Betty being the best friend she is took Jughead to go get some food.
V- Archie look at me.
She says grabbing his face.
V- Don't feel bad for not remembering it's not your fault and I am sorry if I made you feel as if it were.
Archie let's some tears run down his cheeks but Veronica stops them with the pad of her thumb.
A- I'm sorry I just really want to remember.
Before she can do anything the doctor comes in again and interrupts their moment.
D- Ok Mr. Andrews we are going to take you for an MRI.
A- Ok.
D- Unfortunately you can not come Mrs. Andrews but you can wait in here if you would like.
Veronica looks at Archie and holds his face.
V- Don't worry Archie I have to go do something but I will be back I promise.
A- Ok.
Veronica then kisses Archie and all her troubles go away until she pulls away.
V- Bye see you soon.
As Veronica walked into the waiting room and saw her kids it took everything in her not to breakdown. Before she could walk over to them Alex who looks exactly like Archie runs over and hugs her.
AL- Mommy is Daddy ok?
V- Yes he is just getting checked by the doctor.
Veronica picked him up and walked over to her daughter; Lucy. Lucy is being watched by Hermione.
H- How is he.
V- Um not now.
H- Oh ok um do you want me to take the kids out for lunch and get something for you and Archie?
V- Yah.
H- Ok Vero text me if you need anything.
V- I will.
She kisses the kids on the forehead and then heads back over to Archie's room. Once she enters the room she only finds his doctor and now she starts to worry.
V- Um where is my husband?
D- Oh Mrs. Andrews he is in surgery right now. We found the problem for his amnesia. It turns out the little cut on his head had the smallest piece of glass go through it. That piece of glass cut a part of his brain and all we have to do now is fix it and he should be back to normal.
V- That's all?
D- That and he is going to have a weird hair style for playoffs. Also he can't play basketball for 6 weeks and we need him for playoffs so make sure he follows the instructions.
V- Yah Of course.
After 3 hours of waiting anxiously Veronica and the kids went to visit Archie. Once they saw Archie Alex ran and Jumped on Archie while Lucy smiled in Veronica's arms.
AL- Dad I missed you so much.
A- I missed you too buddy.
Archie held him in his embrace even though he was still in some pain.
AL- Dad Why is your head wrapped in bandages.
V- He had a boo boo on his dead so they needed to wrap it.
Alex looks at his dad.
A- Yah buddy I'm alright. I also think they are trying to cover up the horrible haircut the gave me.
Alex laughs and then tucks his head in the crook of his Dads neck.
Alex eventually fell asleep in Archie arms and Lucy fell asleep in Veronica's.
V- Don't ever scare me like that again.
She hits his good shoulder.
A- Ow.
V- Now scooch over.
Archie scooted over so Veronica could lay next to him.
A- I'm sorry Ronnie.
V- Don't be I am just glad you are healthy now.
A- Also how bad is the haircut.
V- The Doctor said it is a going to be in the papers.
A- Great.
They then kiss and just enjoy each others presence happy that they can both reminisce in the past and look towards the future.
