After eating breakfast I go to my room to just sit and think about the past events. As much as I didn't want to, I had to clear my head. I couldn't go to school today because I really didn't feel like talking or listening to teachers go on and on while I would be dead in my brain because my sister died the night before. After doing that for a good hour or so, I go out and see my mom getting a bunch of supplies out.

"What are you doing mom?" I ask.

"I'm going to make a cake. I feel like you haven't had one in too long and we need something to cheer us up and cake is always the solution," she says.

"Thanks Mom but you really don't have to. It's a lot of work and stuff and after everything, I don't know if anything will really cheer me up," I say.

"Don't worry about it. I miss making cake anyway so it'll be good for me too," she says.

"Are you sure?" I ask.

"Positive. Now do you want to go out or do something while it gets ready? I don't want you to be feeling trapped in here. Maybe some fresh air would be nice for you?" she says.

"Yeah you're right. I'll go hang out with Nessa and Mia a little. School ends really soon too," I say.

"Okay. I'll see you soon. Have fun," she says.

"Thanks. See you!" I say as I leave the house.

I walk to school and by the time I reach there I see that they only had two minutes left. I wait outside until the bell rings and students come rushing out. I look around for Nessa and Mia until I finally spot them.

"Nessa! Mia! Over here!" I say waving my arms so they see me.

They see me and run up to me.

"Destiny! Where were you today? Is everything okay?" Nessa asks.

"Well... everything isn't okay because Isla died," I say.

"What?!" they say at the same time.

"Basically she was running away with this guy she was in love with but they got caught and you know what happens if you get caught with a guy," I say.

"Oh my goodness I'm so sorry!" Mia says as she gives me a hug.

"Me too!" Nessa says as she joins our hug.

"I can't believe she's gone!" Mia says.

"Me neither," I say, "Agh okay we shouldn't talk about this or else I'm going to start crying again," I say.

"Okay same," Nessa says.

"So do you guys have any plans today?" I ask.

"I'm all free," Mia says.

"Same," Nessa says.

"Perfect. Let's do something then because I really have to get my mind off this," I say.

"How about we go to our place?" Nessa says.

Our place was a small place that we had created. There was this small forest that was near the gate but still in our section. In that forest we found a spot that looked hard to find and we made a little hangout place over there. We even made a zipline from one of the trees to the other. We used to go there all the time a couple years ago but then our visits got less because of school work and drama so we barely had any time to go. It would be nice to go back again.
"Yes! We haven't been there in so long!" I say.

"Yeah!" Mia says.

"Let's go then!" Nessa says.

We make our way to the forest, talking on the way. We talked about random stuff, none of us bringing up the recent events. Once we finally get there, we look around to make sure no one was there to see us then we go in and find our secret location. We zipline and hang out and talk and we were having the time of our life.

When the sun starts to go down Mia says, "Guys I really wish I could stay more but my mom will get really worried if I don't get home soon."

"Oh yeah same," Nessa says.

"Okay I'll see you guys tomorrow then," I say.

"Are you not coming?" Mia asks.

"I'm going to stay a little more then I'll go don't worry," I say.

"Are you sure?" Nessa asks.

"Yup don't worry. I'll see you guys tomorrow!" I say.

"Bye!" they say.

"Bye" I say.

After they leave I just sit and chill. I start a small fire since it was getting kind of cold until I hear footsteps.

"Who's there?" I ask.

"I can ask the same thing," I hear a voice that sounded so familiar but unfamiliar at the same time.

This voice was not like the voices I hear all the time. This voice was different. This was the voice of a guy.
