I turn around and see a tall guy, about my age, with brown curly hair and beautiful hazel eyes.

"You," I say.

"You," he says.

"Shawn?" I ask.

He nods.

"Destiny?" he asks.

This time I nod.

"This is going to sound really weird but your voice is exactly how I expected it to sound like," he says.

"Whoa wait. I was just going to say the same thing," I say.

"Whoa," he says.

"Whoa is right," I say.

"So what are you doing here?" he asks.

"Well I should be asking that because last time I checked this was the girls section," I say and he chuckles.

He had a cute laugh. Wait shut up what am I saying. I can't be thinking that.

"I found this spot a couple days ago. I found a way to come from our side of the gate to yours without actually opening it and I found this spot. It looked like no one had been here for years so I kind of used it as a place I could just sit and chill," he says.

"But you could get caught!" I say.

"No one ever comes to this part," he says.

"That's true," I say.

"So I'm guessing you made this hangout place?" he says.

"Yeah. Me and a couple of my friends," I say.

"It's a cool place. I can stop coming if you guys want. I understand about privacy and stuff. I just thought-" he says but I cut him off.

"It's fine. Don't worry about it. This is a really peaceful place and I'm glad it helps you too," I say.

"Thanks and it really is. Thank you for making it," he says.

"No problem," I say.

"And hey, I got to meet you so we don't have to talk with paper anymore," he says.

I laugh and say, "That's true."

"So tell me about yourself," he says.

"Well, my full name is Destiny Lexi Mires. I'm 16 years old. I have a little brother and an older sister.......used to have an older sister," I say remembering the last part.

"I'm sorry. What happened to her?" he asks.

"She died last night," I say.

"Oh. I'm so sorry! I really didn't want to make you relive that!" he says as he looks down.

He looked so sorry and it was just melting my heart. What?! Agh shut up heart!

"It's fine! It's not your fault!" I say.

He looked up a little but he still had a hurt expression.

"Seriously it's fine! Don't be sorry! It really wasn't your fault. Now tell me about yourself," I say.

"Well, my full name is Shawn Peter Raul Mendes. I'm also 16 years old and I have a younger sister. I like to sing and play the guitar and my dream used to be to become a famous singer but now that's never going to happen," he says looking upset again.

"Hey don't say that! You never know. Maybe this messed up world will get less messed up one day and remember that humans are actually necessary for this world and ban this stupid rule and you can become a famous singer," I say.

"I doubt that'll ever happen but thanks for your support," he says.

"Anytime. Even though I barely know you, just know I'll always be there for you," I say.

"Thanks. You're a cool person Mires," he says.

"Thanks. You're not too bad yourself Mendes," I say.

We laugh and we talk a little more about ourselves until the sun completely goes down and it's dark.

"Well I should get going," I say.

"Yeah same," he says, "Do you wanna meet over here again tomorrow?" he asks.

"Yeah sure. What time?" I ask.

"5 okay?" he asks.

"Sounds good to me," I say.

"Perfect. See you then," he says.

"See you Mendes," I say and I walk away.

I felt the same as usual but there was something different. I had a genuine smile on my face that hadn't left the whole time while I was talking to Shawn and still hasn't left, something I haven't had for a really long time.
