Dear Journal,

It's 3am on a gloomy Saturday morning. I woke up completely drenched in sweat and shaking so violently. I had a dream well, actually it was a nightmare to me. I was sitting in my darkened room with only the light of the full moon shining through my window. It makes everything in my room come to life and terrifies me even more. I ran to the light switch and quickly flicked it on and the light flooded in. Let me explain this as best as I can.

I was alone in a thick darkened forest. I looked up and could see the light filtering through the top of the tree branches. The tree's soft whisper against the wind was like a lullaby, soothing and warm. The floor was mossy, green and wet. I was barefoot for some odd reason but the moss felt nice between my toes. I started walking slowly not really knowing where I was going or what I was doing there. I stepped on branches and leaves and could hear the crackling noises as I stepped upon them echo through the forest. They felt nice and didn't hurt my feet which I thought they would.

All of a sudden I felt like running so I bounced off the balls of my feet and enganged in a fast sprint. To my suprise the forest floor felt like velvet underneath my feet. I was passing trees so fast they just went by me in a blur. I felt like I had some super human strength because I didn't fall or hit anything on my run. It actually felt exhilarating and I felt free.

In the distance I could hear the gentle gurgling of a small creek. I found it within seconds, astonished at my speed and intuition. I gently placed my hands in it and scooped up a small amount of crystal clear water and splashed it on my face. All of a sudden my head jerked up as I smelled this strong potent smell. It smelled so deliously sweet I knew I had to get a peek at what was providing this aroma.

All of a sudden my instincts took over and I ran at an increasing speed to the heavenly, appetizing smell. I stumbled upon a tall dark man with penetrating eyes. He seemed to notice me as well but didn't care to acknowledge me. I started twitching and getting this uncontrollable sensation to lunge at him...and I did. I sunk my teeth into his pulsing blue veins that were intertwinded in his neck. I bit down hard and my teeth cut through his skin easily as a knife to butter. I sucked the blood from him until he was dried up and no more blood was left in his body. I got up on my feet and looked down at my clothes, a crimson bloody mess. I then held my head up to the sky and screamed at the top of my lungs, that's when I woke up.

I've never had a dream quite like this one before. I wondered if it meant anything at all or if it was nothing more than just a crazy, ridiculous dream due to a big imagination. I hope there was no more dreams left to come. I'm going to try to lay back down and fall asleep but the lights are going to stay on until I wake.
