Dear Journal,

I awoke to the screeching sound of the alarm clock by my bed. I rolled onto my side, reached my hand out to hit the snooze button then just turned it off. Is it already morning? It seems I've only been sleeping for a short amount of time thanks to last night.

"I can't be late on the first day of school," I groaned to myself.

I lifted myself out of bed and stumbled towards the window. I looked outside and saw nothing but a thick, heavy cloud of fog covering the horizon. Forks was known for being a dreary, rainy, foggy town so I can't say that tihs all suprised me. I glanced over to the driveway to see only my truck sitting there. Charlie must go to work earlier then I thought, always the working man. I decided to set off to my closet to find something to wear and decided on a green and white bowling shirt ( a gift from Phil) and a pair of my favorite blue jeans. I then slipped on my sneakers, grabbed my back pack and headed downstairs to the kitchen.

I went into the bright yellow cabinet, pulled out some blueberry poptarts and slid them into the toaster. I was alrady a nervos wreck so I grabbed them up before they were done, gobbled them down with a glass of milk and headed to the door with my jacket in hand.

The drive to school wasn't very long and the parking lot was deserted. I didn't look at the clock when I left so I assumed I was pretty early. For an old truck I was grateful the radio worked. I sat in my truck for about 20 minutes untill I saw cars starting to pull in. I dragged myself out of my truck and made me way to the school.

I was headed into my history class when I bumped into a boy and my books toppled to the ground.

"Let me get that for you, he said then handed them to me and smiled.

"Gee thanks, I mumbled looking at him. He had a baby face, kind of cute with blonde hair and blue eyes.

"No problem, aren't you Isabella Swan?," he asked.

"Ummm yeah but it's Bella," I replied. "How did you know?"

"Well your Dad pretty much informed the town you were coming," he said sheepishly and looked down at the gray tiled floor.

"Oh, well good old Dad, I said easing his embarrassment. He then laughed and walked me into the clasroom. He pretty much followed me around the school all day like a puppy. I think he had some crushing feelings for me but I did not reciprocate his feelings.

We walked into the lunchroom and met up with some of his friends.

Jessica Stanley was the first I met. She was very friendly and a complete "chatterbox." She has straight, light brown hair stands at about 5'1" and has blue eyes. Angela Weber was the next friend I met. She was more like me, very shy but had a warm smile. She has light brown hair with streaks of honey in it, very gentle brown eyes and stands around 6"0.

As we ate lunch the conversation managed to be mostly about me and my history. I explained as best as could until a table in the back of the lunchroom caught my eyes.

Jessica met my stare and started explaining.

"Thats the Cullens," she declared." Dr. Carlisle Cullen works at the hospital. He's married to Esme and they have adopted these children. But, it's not like a normal family, they are together, like together together. The big one is Emmett and he's with his gorgeous girlfriend Rosalie. The little ones name is Alice and her boyfriend is Jasper, the one who looks like he's always in pain.

They were all so beautiful that words couldn't describe them. I had the desire to go up to them and touch their pale, beautiful, flawless faces. Just then another Cullen walked up to the table. He was impossibly beautiful with perfect and angular high cheekbones, strong jawline, a straight nose and full lips. His eyes were a topaz color and his hair was a luxorious bronze. I have to get to class but I promise to write more soon about these amazing Cullens.
