Dear Journal,
It has been such a long time since I have written to you, a few years actually. I spoke to Edward last night and he thought it would be a good idea to start writing again to have something to show Reneesme when she's older. I'm hoping she starts her own as well, she is so brilliantly smart it's amazing. I can't wait for Mom to visit as well. I told her the news finally, she was shocked but incredibly happy as well. She should be here in a few weeks with Phil, they are ecstatic.
Everyone knows what happened between us. We got married and had a beautiful baby girl which we named after our Mothers, Renee and Esme. Giving birth was one of the hardest things I'v ever done and I remember it clearly although I leave alot of the details out for Edward. I don't want him for one moment to think of all the burning pain it caused me because in the long run it was well worth it.Of course Edwards family are vampires but I didn't care at all about that, I just wanted him and wanted to be with him forever, no matter the price. Of course the town doesn't know all about this, it's only shared within the family and the wolf pack mostly.
Reneesme is a very special half vampire/half human. She has the same facial features and hair color as Edward, but has Charlie's curly hair, and brown eyes like I used to have. Her heart pumps blood, giving her a blush, and her pale skin slightly glows in sunlight. Her skin is warm and soft to the touch, but it is as strong as a vampire's. Renesmee can survive on either blood or human food, though she prefers blood, and she does not produce venom. Her special abilities are transmitting thoughts to others by touching their skin and penetrating mental shields, the opposite abilities of each of her parents. She rapidly grows both mentally and physically, is able to speak only seven days after her birth.
The wolf pack consists of Jacob (my very best friend) and his friends, Sam, Seth, Leah, Jared, Embry, Quil, Paul, Collin, Conner and Brady. They phase into wolfs to protect the citizens from vampires, evil vampires that is. They have helped us through alot of horrifying circumstances that have occured here in Forks. The Volturi have been one of our main concerns.
The vampire coven known as the Volturi live in Volterra, Tuscany in Italy. They are regarded as royalty by other vampires because they have lived for well over 3000 years and act as police, enforcing the rule that vampires' existence remain a secret from humans. They often send emissaries or enforcers from Volterra to prevent overzealous covens and renegade vampires from exposing their kind. They are guarded by several powerful vampires who have been recruited for their powers and skills. The Volturi leaders include Aro, who can read every thought a person has ever had once he has made physical contact, Marcus, who senses the strength and nature of relationships, and Caius, who has no known power. They are supposed to be the "good guys" but to us lately they've been nothing but trouble really.
