Cassidy Gilbert is a year and a half old vampire who is emotionally unstable because of her messed up life. She was part of a strange love triangle but then the one she was fighting the love with (her sister) died so you would think she got the guy.

Wrong.

Instead, she didn't get the guy because of again how messed up her life is. Her parents (mom and adopted dad) are dead, her guardian who was her aunt is dead, her sister is dead, her brother is trying to kill her, her uncle is dead, her best friend is kind of dead, her other best friend hasn't spoken to her in god only knows how long and finally she has major abandonment issues from when all of her guardians died but one came back to life. Oh, and not too mention she's a Ripper so she can barely control her bloodlust. It's cool. It's all cool.

Bare with her because she doesn't even quite understand anything that's going on in her life other than everyone dying and leaving her. Life isn't the best thing.

Alaric Saltzman, who was now being her caretaker (again might be noted ... he was the one that died and came back to life) even though she was eighteen now, walked into the kitchen with blood in a small cup. It wasn't just any blood since it wasn't human because he knew his daughter was a Ripper and couldn't control herself around human blood. He wondered how he was still alive.

What he had in his possession was bunny blood because he knew it was a good technique to put a Ripper on animal blood. He knew this because he used to be heavily obsessed with supernatural creatures but mostly vampires since his former wife, Isobel.

"Hey, kiddo," he stood in front of her as she had files upon files sprawled out in front of her. Most of which contained witches that Bonnie Bennett knew that were more powerful than herself. To make a long story short, the brunette vampire needed a witch to bring back Stefan Salvatore from the kind of dead state he was in.

She barely looked up from all the files she was going through to see him holding a cup and she could smell the contents within it. She looked back down as she involuntarily felt the veins under her eyes come out; however, she denied her sustenance that kept her alive anyway.

"I don't want it," she breathed out as she kept her eyes shut so she could focus on the veins disappearing. She was busy and she felt like she was on the verge of something here.

"Cassidy," he said sternly as he wouldn't walk away until she took the cup. He was having trouble the past month getting her to feed properly and he knew if she wouldn't ... the Ripper would come out.

"I'm fine, Ric," she said sternly as she opened her eyes and flipped through some more files. Most of these witches if not all were either dead or she knew from her days of no humanity and Ripper. None of them liked her then.

"Cassidy, you haven't feed since Monday. I'm surprised you're not on the verge of desiccating right now," Alaric noted as he mentally counting on his fingers how many days ago was Monday. He counted two or three days.

"What's to say I haven't been feeding on you when you're asleep?" she looked up at him expectantly and that was the first time he had seen her eyes in a long time. He saw the tired and determination in them but he also saw the hopefulness slowly leaving them.

"Because you would have already killed me or you would be on me now trying to kill me since you can't control your bloodlust around human blood," he gave her a small smirk as he found a small loophole through her attempt to get him away from her. She huffed as she had realized she lost the conversation being held here.

She reluctantly held her hand out to take the cup from his hands and he made a small "ha-ha" victory escapes his lips as he passed it to her. She rolled her eyes as she drank the bunny blood in one gulp holding the cup up as she closed her eyes.
