Cassidy has awoken in a bed that she was familiar with but not as familiar as with the bed that belonged to the brother. She cleared her throat as it felt scratchy and raspy, that normal feeling she always got from temporarily dying. She rolled over into her back as she stared up at the ceiling as her mind decided to drift to last night's events and if they were truly real or not. They felt so real and she thought they were real but they could have easily been fake but then that wouldn't explain her temporary dying part.
That part had definitely happened.
She rubbed her face as she pulled herself into an upright position as the door to the bedroom clicked indicating someone was coming in. Her eyes fixed on the door as the person on the other side was revealed to be that auburn haired huntress. She rubbed her eyes furiously thinking it was fake but when she looked back she was still there.
"You're ... You're dead. I — "
"You killed me, yes. How is that taking effect on you? I'm sensing so much inner guilt," the huntress chuckled lightly as she inched closer to the bed the young vampire was on. Cassidy tried getting away from her by speeding to the other side of the room. She hadn't really cared all she was in was Damon's shirt and just some underwear.
In reality, however, this was Damon Salvatore come to check up on her. He was confused as to why she seemed so scared and why she was trying to stay away from him. He felt a little taken aback when she began to mumble stay away from me while shaking her head. Then he remembered where he had seen such familiar behavior before and suddenly he had wished his former girlfriend wasn't dead. Although, he always wishes she was still there and not dead.
"The curse has already started," he whispered not even noticing she had broken a leg off of one of the chairs in his room.
Cassidy stared back into the eyes of the huntress she had kill the day before as Veronica had laughed at her.
"You going to try and kill me again, Cassidy? No matter how many times you try I won't be out of your life. I will be here being a constant reminder of what you did until you just give up and you end your own life. There will be nothing you ca —" Cassidy screamed as she thrusted the wooden leg into the stomach of what she had thought was the huntress. She sped away from the scene down to the cells as she slammed against the wall sliding down it.
She put her face in her hands as she tried to muffle the emotions that were trying to come out, but it seemed to be no use as a certain half memory-less Salvatore was looking down at her. His lips tugged down into a frown as he noticed her appearance along with the break down she was trying to force stop.
"You don't look okay, Cassidy."
Her head quickly snapped up to look into those forest green eyes that had always seemed to bring her comfort. For a split moment she thought he was talking to her as the normal best friend he used to be but the longer she looked into his eyes it wasn't the same feeling she used to get from them.
"I'm okay, Stefan. Ju —"
"Damon! Damon, I can fix Stefan!"
They both had used their vampire hearing and heard their favorite (Stefan didn't know it) witch barge into the house. There was a grunting Damon heard and this is where Cassidy quickly apologized to the youngest Salvatore as she made her way back to the living room. She stood in the doorway happy to see the Bennett witch there rather than just that auburn haired bitch that had decided to frighten her.
"You look ... rough," the brunette witch looked her vampire friend up and down with a concerning look on her face. Bonnie always loved Cassidy like her own little sister and she had promised Elena if anything happened to the eldest she would look out for the two younger Gilbert kids.
