The Mystic Falls gain that consisted of just the vampire portion and their lovely witch walked up to the doors of the hunter hideout from the memories Damon had of how him and Bonnie had gotten there. They stood there as they stared up at the door curiously because they weren't going to wait for the fight to come to them. They thought why not save the trouble and just go to the hunters that way it would be in a more secluded area. They wouldn't have to worry about compelling people to forget what they've seen or try to convince Caroline's mom to say something else happened.
The door to the building open and Cassidy was the first to look from the top of the building down to the door to see a specific brunette she called her brother. She about walked forward but remembered that he's compelled to kill them.
"Cass, go back to Damon's. You don't need to be here," he said shakily as he had a gun pointed at the group of vampires. Just before he had gone out he was in an argument with Veronica because he didn't want to come out here and accidentally shoot his sister. He tried to stay away without revealing that he was friends and a brother.
"I'm not going anywhere, Jer. I'm staying right here. Try to fight the compulsion," she tried comforting her brother as she kept her distance away from him. Damon could tell how bad Jeremy was trying to fight it off and he could also see how he was losing the inner battle he had.
"Jeremy, you don't wanna shoot her. You know - "
" - Oh my god, what the HELL!" they heard a groaning Caroline as they all shot their heads toward her to see her doubled over gripping her thigh. Cassidy looked to see who the shooter was to see Veronica staying her down.
"The doppelgänger, not really sure if I wanna kill you just yet. I don't mind killing all your friends though and it would be interesting to see how many times you try to die for them," she chuckled as she released another vervain filled arrow that was aimed toward Damon. Cassidy shook her head as she sped in front of the raven haired vampire just as it disintegrated in front of her eyes. She looked over seeing the Bennett witch holding her hand up with a smirk.
"Nobody's dying on my watch."
The doppelgänger ran over to Caroline to help get any wood out of her leg that there was as Damon sped to Veronica snatching the gun out of her hands and throwing it. The eldest Salvatore smirked as the veins shown under his eyes and he gave her a nasty bite in the bicep before throwing her to the side. Jeremy gave him an unbelievable look as he ran over to the huntress and this made confusion from over the raven haired vampire.
"What the hell, Jeremy?"
"Just because she's a threat to you doesn't mean she hasn't helped me, Damon," the youngest Gilbert looked at him angrily as a familiar groan was heard making Damon snap around. He saw that familiar brunette speed over to Avery holding her with her fangs out.
"Cassi, no!" he shouted as he sped over yanking her off as Avery feel to the ground getting ready to stake Cassidy. Damon moved in front of the stake with his back towards it so the blonde huntress didn't have the chance to get his heart. "You can't do that .. you'll get the curse," he groaned as his back arched in pain. Their faces were so close. If it wasn't for their circumstances at that moment he would have probably tried to kiss, and if he hadn't remembered there was a stake in his back and a vervain arrow in her thigh he would have tried.
She grabbed his face desperately in hopes of her not hitting fatally and when she finally saw he was desiccating she relaxed letting his face go. She ripped the arrow out of her thigh before she went to get the stake out of Damon's back but she was pushed to the side by Avery whom got on top of her with a stake ready to go into her heart.
