After Cassidy had sat down with Alaric after he witnessed her little outburst with punching the mirror due to the hunter's curse, she told him everything that had been going with her and how she had killed a member of the five. He was upset and disappointed at first but he was understanding simply because she was trying to protect Jeremy. Her older sibling instincts took over her body to protect him.

She was glad that he understood but she was also disappointed in herself for letting happen and for allowing Alaric to be disappointed in her. As much as it hurt her to tell him, she stated that she didn't need to be near him until the curse was off of her because if she accidentally killed him she wouldn't be able to live with herself because he unfortunately can't come back to life like everyone else can.

So she was back at that home but not home Salvatore Boarding House where she was sitting on top of the eldest vampire's bed (she kind of started stealing his room) looking through a photo album she had found on his mantel. She smiled at all of the pictures of him and Stefan messing around with a football. She heard the door open and a frantic voice with a hand above his head.

"It's me, it's me. It's Damon, not Veronica. I'm not trying to kill you," he said quickly as a small giggle erupted from the brunette's lips. He smiled as he realized she understood him and she knew it was him.

He walked in the door all the way seeing that she had yet again stolen one of his shirts to sit in. That seemed to be what she would do now rather than go downstairs and interact with people and he knew it was a sign of not only sadness but fear she would hurt one of them. She didn't want to accidentally stab one of them in the stomach with a stake again out of defense. She also missed her father.

"How're you feeling?" his fingers graced the bed spread beside her as he sat down in front of her. He looked into her brown orbs to see if there was any sign of emotion. All he could see was the fight to push all of her emotions back because she didn't want to show the fear she had. She was scared don't get her wrong but she didn't want anyone else to see that. "You're scared, aren't you? Cassi, you gotta remember I know you better than anybody."

She set the photo album she had in her lap to the side as her finger slid toward Damon's. He allowed his finger to wrap around hers and he felt a surge of electricity - which is cliche he knows - as she tightened her grip around it. He looked up into her eyes as he had seemed to scoot closer taking a breath as he was on the verge of asking her something.

"Cassi, what're we doing?"

She looked back at him curiously not quite sure what he was implying. He's been wanting to try to make things go to the next step but he always told himself to wait for the right time. He soon come to realize that there never will be a right time and that he should just jump out there and make the move.

Maybe not having the right moment meant something though.

She looked into those piercing blue eyes that always captivated her as she got up onto her knees to sit on them. He got closer to her as he let his had slide onto her cheek to caress it in a manner of saying he was here and always will be. He took the opportunity at that moment to lean in and be inches from her lips. She shakily finished the space, slowly allowing her lips to meet his soft ones.

In that moment it had seemed like every emotion they had trapped inside for one another had exploded in between them. As cliche as it sounded, it was the whole nine yards with that simple action. Damon scooted closer to her as if that would create more energy in their kiss, fearing it would break if he moved away. One of her arms made it around his neck as they moved their heads in a different position but refusing to break their kiss.

In that moment, the forever eighteen-year-old had felt like all her worries were and she felt like how every teenage girl should feel like when the guy she likes notices and makes a move. She felt normal for a single moment that she wanted to keep ahold of forever. She liked this feeling she had that erupted from this single action and she was now aware of why having a boyfriend made Elena so happy. It was a feeling Cassidy wasn't used to because any guy she liked they always liked her sister more.
