I heard the door open and I shoved the picture back into my bag " what was that" 10k asked. "Nothing" I said. "Luna?" He said as he put his hand down on my shoulder. " It was a picture of my dad, it's the only thing I have left".

He started looking really sad "Tommy what's wrong?" I asked worried " I lose my dad too"... I sat down and he sat with me he told me about his dad and I told him about mine. It was funny how much they had in common...

I really loved my dad. My mom had left us when I was only 5. My dad was taking care of me and my sister. When the world to "sh**" as Murphy says, he was bit and trying to keep it from us. I knew something wasn't right. When he got really bad off, and turned he grabbed my sister. She let out a ear ringing yell and within a minute she turned.

I had to put them out of there misery. I cried for two day straight. I didn't know what I would do without them. I stay at my house till I gave out of food and water. Our backyard was caged in so I went and dug a hole for them and made a little grave stone for both of them. As far as I knew they were still there.

10k and I were sitting in the floor talking. I heard a light knock on the door. "Its okay, come it" I said. Addy peaked in. We looked at her. She said "I'm sorry about your dad and sister... I wasn't trying to listen in on your conversation, I was just trying to make sure that you guys weren't doing anything important". I smiled slightly, "thanks, what's up?". She walked in and shut the door. "Who's on watch" asked 10k. Addy looked down at 10k " I think doc". He got up to walk out I grabbed his hand "be safe I don't wanna lose you", "I will, I promise" he said smiling and walked out.

"You love him don't you?" Addy asked. I smiled "yeah I believe I do...he makes my happy". She sat down on the bed and said "I know your new to the group, I've been here for a while... Do you have any questions?...". I looked at the floor and said " yes, a few actually". "Okay go ahead". I looked at her and said "okay why is Murphy blue?". Shock ran across her face " well when the apocalypse first started, he was sent to this lab where he was injected with a live zombie cure... Then the lab got over run and he got bit 8 times...next"

I thought for a minute "who is citizen Z, and why is this called called operation bitemark?". She smiled and said "citizen Z is kinda like our eye in the sky, he tells use when there's storms and he tells if the lab is still functional" " lab?" I said interrupting her. "That's where we have to take Murphy so that they can make an antidote using his blood". "Who's Lucy?" I asked " Lucy is Murphys daughter, he was with " the pie girl" as everyone likes to call her, she ended up getting pregnant and having Lucy in barn.. she didn't make it...anyway Lucy was a Z magnet, whenever she'd cry they would come running... Murphy disappeared for a while and when he came back we didn't have her anymore.

I sat there for a while. I didn't know what to say. " I know it can be alot to take in at one time" she said as she put her hand on my shoulder. I heard a knock on the door "it's open" I yelled Warren pocked her head in the door and said " come eat" I stood up and walked out of the room with addy. I shut the door behind me.

When we got there 10k, doc, Murphy and everyone else was already sitting down. Warren handed everyone there bottles. She handed me mine last, it had a little more than everyone else's. " I can't take this, it's too much" I said handing it back. Everyone looked at me. "You need it kid, you have a infection and you need the nutrition, besides we've got dog food" doc said while cuting open the dog food bag. I looked at Warren she nodded her head at me. Then I looked over at 10k he winked at me, I blushed a little.

I sat over at the end of table and listened to everyone as they laughed. I liked listening to everyone laughing. 10k looked down at me with a smile on his face. He was so cute. Out of nowhere doc asked "how's your cheek", "it's okay I guess" I said. He nodded his head and shoved his mouth full of dog food.

I finished my soup by that time everyone was gone. I rinsed my bottle out, and walked to my room. 10k was looking out of the window "hey" I said. He turned around and looked at me " hey, sit down". I sat down, he walked over. He reached over to the table and grabbed my antibiotic ointment, something to clean the wound , and a clean bandage.

I looked into his eyes. He looked back at me and took the old bandage off my cheek and cleaned the wound. He put the antibiotic ointment on it and covered it with the bandage. "Thank you" I said. He put the antibiotic ointment back in the table and trow the rest away " your welcome".

I reached for one of my bags, I put it on my lap and rambled in it till i found my tooth brush and tooth paste. I found just enough for the rest of the group. I handed 10k one then walked out of the room. I knocked on Addy's door "come in" she said. I sat the tooth brush down on her bed and said " thought maybe it would be nice to have one of these since we have water now". She laughed and I walked out.

I gave everyone else there's and went and brushed my teeth. My gums started bleeding, but I felt so much better. I finished and walked into the room as 10k was walking out. He looked at me and walked into the bathroom. I put my brush down. I left the tooth paste in the bathroom. I crawled into the bed and rapped up.

I heard the door open I rolled over facing it. 10k walked in and put his tooth brush down and turned the light off. He crawled into the bed. He laid down and I cuddled up next to him. He kissed my forhead.
