Its hurts. Chapter 8

Addy rapped her arm around me and pulled me closer to her. We sat like this for a while then I heard a slight knock at the door. I looked up at Addy, she stood up and walked over to the door. My eyes were a deep dark red. "She needs to be alone" I heard her say. "I need to talk to her" I heard another voice. I felt another tear leave my eye and run down my face. I didn't know how to fell. All I felt was hurt and pain and sadness...

I had always felt like he was the one. I felt that i was safe. That he would never hurt me. Addy shut the door, locked it and came to sit down beside me "you okay" she asked. I sadly smiled at her and said "I will be... It's just a broken heart, at least I'm not dead". She smiled back at me. I heard another slight knock. "Luna please, let me explain" I heard 10k say through. I stood up and walked over to the sink and turned it on. I filled the palms of my hands up with water and splashed it onto my face.

"Are you ready to talk to him" addy asked standing up. "I don't know, do you think could stay by the door?" I asked her. She smiled at me and said "of course" she hugged me and walked out the door. I walked out behind her. 10k was standing at the door. He walked behind us. I walked into our room. He walked in he went to lock the door, "leave it unlocked, please" I said. I sat down on the bed. My eyes felt really sticky from crying and I knew my eyes were still red. He sat next to me on the bed.

He sat there for a minute looking at me before saying anything. "Luna, look at me" he said. I turned my head and looked at him. I felt myself tearing up again. "I thought she was dead... I love you Luna, I love you more than anyone left on this fracking Z swarmed earth... You mean more to me than life itself..." I felt a tear run down my face. He reached over and wiped the tear away. "Luna, please say something" he said looking worried.

"I...I... don't know what to say." I said as my voice cracked. "I talked to doc and I'm staying here, Warren is going with him... Luna you have to believe me... I don't know what I would do without you." I looked away from him. "The only way I'm gonna believe, is if you give me a reason too". I sniffed.

He grabbed my hand from were it was sitting, I quickly turned my head. "I have trust issues, and you broke my heart... It gonna take more than you holding my hand for me trust you again" he retracted his hand. "Why didn't you tell me about her?... How many more are there?... Why Tommy why?" I said and tears fell from my eyes. He looked at me I could see that he was sorry in his eyes "I didn't think I would see her again, I thought she was dead. There were two others they both died right in front of me... None of them made me feel the way I feel about you."

I just sat there looking at him. From what I could tell he was telling the truth. I heard a knock. 10k got up and walked to the door. I looked at the door, the only thing I seen was red. I felt a rush of anger. I heard him say "red, I've already told you im with Luna" he shut the door in her face. He walked back over to the bed and sat down. I turned and looked out the window.

I needed some air. I stood up and walked over to the door I knocked 6 times. Addy knocked back. It was a code that we had. 6 knocks ment I need air, when she knocked back it ment it was safe.

I walked out the room and out to the porch. Addy followed. "How'd it go?" She asked. I shrugged my shoulders and said "okay I guess, but at this point I don't know how to feel. I feel hurt, anger, sadness... It was like he was my fresh air and then she comes around and pushs me under again." She nodded "I lost my boyfriend a while back, he was over ran by Z's. At that moment I swore to protect myself no matter the consequences". I walked down the stairs and said " I'm sorry addy" she smiled at me and said "it happens, just don't hold this forever... Let him know that your hurt but don't wait to long to forgive him, it could be too late". I smiled and said "i'll forgive him once he earns it".

I heard the door open I turned and seen it was red. It was ashame that I had knew more about her than she knew about me. She looked at me and turned around and walked back into the house. She was hurt too, but not as bad. I think she thought he was dead too. I looked up at my room window and 10k was looking out at me. I looked down and turned around.

There was a Z running towards me and addy. Addy picked up her bat and swing and hit the Z right in the head. His head popped like a zit and got all over us "dang it I just got a shower this morning". Addy laughed and said "well now we both could use another one" I smiled. I walked into the house. I had told addy that I would be okay, but if I needed her I would let her know. I walked in my room and 10k wasn't in there. My rag was still wet from this morning. I took it and wiped my face.

I closed all the bags that were on the bed and trew them on the floor. I layed down on the bed. About an hour later 10k walks in and says " Luna, are you awake". I sit up and looked at him "yeah, what is it". "So I been thinking... Maybe me and you should take the four wheeler and look for a vehicle". I thought for a minute. "Why not" I said. He smiled and said "we leave in an hour... Might wanna wash up you've got a little Z blood on you". I rolled my eyes. I went and got a shower, I haven't forgave 10k I just thought it would be good to go see things. The hour went by fast I hopped on the four wheeler with 10k and we went down the road.
