Setting: There's a race that looks just like humans, like how the Altean do, but they're called Vitanians. You are the princess and arranged to be married to someone else when the paladins of Voltron show up to discuss plans of your father joining the coalition. This is where you meet Lance and how he discovers how your life really is as royalty.

Your P.O.V

"The paladins of Voltron are coming to visit." My father spoke to me as I entered his study. He was seated while I remained standing, both our eyes locked. "Princess Allura of Altea will be joining them to discuss our involvement with coalition . She is one of the few to survive the intended extinction."

I nodded my head, understanding the information he was telling me. I'm surprised and excited to be meeting humans and an altean, a species that was thought to be wiped out. "Yes, father. When is their arrival?" My smooth voice sounded, my hands locked in front of me.

My father opened his mouth to answer but a knock on the door interrupted us. "Now." He responded as he came over and opened the door for me to step out.

"I'm going to go meet them. Gather your brothers and sisters to meet in the lounge." He ordered, after closing the door to his office behind us.

"Of course, father." I smiled, us separating to head two different ways.

It did not long for me to gather the two sets of twins, twins running in our family, of my brothers and sisters. My sisters, 8 years old, were more well behaved, having an excessive amount of lessons much like I went through to become the proper lady. My brothers, 12 years old, on the other hand, were difficult to handle seeing as they loved to be distractive. All in all, I loved my siblings dearly.

"Why do we have to meet them?" My brother, Landas, asked as he let out a huge sigh, throwing his head back. My brothers always hated being proper and having to meet new people. Him and his brother would much rather be playing or practicing their swordsmanship.

"They are our guest and we are the kings children. It would be rude for us not to introduce ourselves." I explained, glancing down to see how bored my brothers were. My other brother, Entir, was practically asleep. I faced forward again, looking back to the door. "As the Prince's and Princess' of this planet, we are expected to welcome each and every guest with a formal introduction."

"Do they really have to meet all of us?" Landas asked again, slouching as he looked at the door to the backyard. I had to pull them away from sword fighting with each other to come here. They must be itching to get back.

I moved my hand behind his back. "Stand tall, young knight." I teased watching as a smile made its way to his face. Landas wasn't a boy who dreamed of ruling the planet but of protecting it. He once told me his dream was to the commander of all knights. "This will all be over soon and then you and I can go talked to see if you can train with the knights again."

A wider smile broke out across his face. "Please." He nodded, making his position the best it could look.

"Entir! Wake up you fool!" My sister, Hissa, yelled. My sisters like to boss around my brothers, finding themselves much older and wiser than them despite the 4 year age gap. "You embarrass this family." She snapped, her eyes narrowed.

Entir jumped up with start. Once he saw it was only his younger sister yelling his face contorted into anger and annoyance. "I'm older than you! You can not tell me what to do!" He yelled back.

I sighed, this being common occurance between the two. "Hissa, compose yourself." I scolded. One of the many lessons we took was to not let our emotions take over and never raise our voice. "Entir, keep your eyes opens, at least for now." I glanced over to wink getting him to smile and nod his head.
