Brother?

Chapter ten - Brother?

Loki stood outside Peters door listening. Peter and Tony were inside and Tony was telling Peter a bedtime story about the great Captain America. Tony had decided to start today and gave Peter a quick summary of what had happened before Steve slept for 70 years. 

"Red Skull found the tesseract hidden in a church and wanted to use it to make him stronger. But his old assistant managed to escape from him and created a serum. That way a young man could become stronger. 'The Super Soldier Serum.' The Doctor chose Steve for the serum for his bravery and kindness and Steve was injected with the serum to make him super strong. But a Hydra follower tried to steal the serum and managed to kill the Doctor and running away. Steve chased after him and managed to catch him but the follower took acid and committed suicide. The serum was shattered in the process. The Officer didn't want Steve in the war so Steve had to make and do shows and films. One day he heard from his friend Peggy that over 500 men had been kidnapped. Including his friend Bucky. So Steve with the help of my father and Peggy brought him to Hydras base where he saved over 500 men. From then on he was allowed to help in the war. He brought together a group to bring down Hydra once and for all. On one dangerous mission, Steves best friend Bucky dies but to Steve won't stop till Hydra is dead. He sneaks into their building and fights Red Skull on a plane. He won but to save the world he had to crash the plane into the middle of nowhere. SHIELD found him and he woke up 70 years later. I'll tell you more next time. Sleep now, ok?" Tony finished patting Peters' head. Peter nodded snuggling deep into his blankets. All of a sudden he stood up leaving the room before Loki could react. Loki froze and Tony said suspiciously, 

"How long have you been standing there?" 

"Erm, the entire story?" Loki said sheepishly. Tony just nodded and walked towards the elevator probably heading towards the lab. It was only 6 pm but Loki was already tired. Suddenly he realized something, he had only been here for a day but he still hadn't heard how 'The great Captain America.' died he called after Tony, 

"What happened to the man of America actually?" Tony stiffened turning around, 

"Didn't Thor tell you?" He asked not sure if Loki was joking or not. Loki shook his head.

"Only about Peter and his condition." Tony thought about it. Steves death took a toll on all of them. Thor must have been too sad to talk about it to Loki. 

"Um, Ask Thor." He said not wanting to tell Loki that. He broke down every time someone mentioned Steve and he'd rather not talk about it. Even think about it for the matter. Loki raised his eyebrows and stalked off to the elevator followed by Tony. He sort of wanted to hear this, Loki stepped into the kitchen where Thor stood reaching out for a box of pop tarts on the top shelf but was startled when Loki sharply said, 

"Brother." Thor whipped around and nervously stood there trying to close the cabinet door without a suspicion. Loki had used this tone on him before. Usually, it didn't mean something good. "What happened to man of America?" Loki suddenly said. Thor was taken aback and started mumbling, 

"Well, erm. Brother, you see. Red Skull erm, broke into his *cough* home and um, kidnapped him. Then we followed him and erm to save Man of Iron Man of America took erm, uh, a bullet..." Thor coughed awkwardly as he sadly stood there. 

"Well, that was a pathetic excuse of a reason. You should be proud that he did that and not avoid talking about it," Loki said crossing his arms over his chest irritatedly. Tony thought about what Loki said and he realized what Loki had said was true. He walked forward before he could change his mind and said,

"Loki, thank you." Before turning around. He had to tell Bruce. Thor looked at Loki in a shocked way. Loki pursed his lips and retreated to his room. As he lay on his bed he thought about Asgard. 

A couple of days prior, 

"Father, what am I? Tell me?!" Loki had known for years he was something else, but he never dared to talk to Odin. Since Thor was in Midgard he decided to take his chance and immediately started interrogating him. Odin looked at Loki with disgust and pity mirroring in his eyes. 

"You are no son of mine. You are a Frost giant." Those words rang through the room in an echo and it sunk down to Loki what he had said. 

"No, no, no, I'm a monster. You are lying! NO!" Loki cried distressed. He could not be a Frost Giant. Those vile, horrible, blue beasts. He saw red and felt the adrenaline rush through him as he ran towards Odin holding up by his neck, "YOU ARE LYING!" Loki yelled. Odin shook his head as his hands gripped Lokis and removed them gently from his neck. He then held them up for Loki to see. Loki gasped, he dropped to the ground, and began to sob,

"No, n-no, no." His hands were blue. His fingers long and pointy. Everything blue and cold. This wasn't him. It couldn't be him. He stood up racing out of the room before Odin could react he wove and spun through alleys and Asgardians before he reached the bridge racing over it as if depended on his life to get over it. At the end, Heimdall stood there prepared his eyes glistening for the boy's fate. 

"THOR, BRING ME TO THOR. MIDGARD! WHERE EVER HE IS." Heimdall calmly nodded and sent Loki falling and spinning out of control down the rainbow spiral. He landed on his knees in front of Thor on the ground. Thro stared at him in shock. Thor was in an empty valley filled with daisies thinking about Asgard when a bright blue Loki appeared in front of him he didn't react to his colour or his eyes or his fingers all he said was, 

"Brother?" He said softly. Noting the tears and shaking. He carefully pulled Loki into a side hug and held him close. After a while, Loki calmed down and his skin colour returned to normal. He told Thor the story as they watched the setting sun. 

Hi! It's me! I thought that I should write a chapter for all their Stories. I probably won't end up writing another bedtime story for Peter but if you want that tell me (you know how)? Sorry if the ending was a bit dramatic but that's ok. I like to show Loki and Thor's brotherly relationship. So, no spoilers for next chapter cause I'm not sure about it yet. It is also possible I won't be posting for a week. I'll be going on a vacation but we'll see.
