Chapter Eighteen - Good thing I'm not a cat then.
After a quarter of an hour of trying to get MJ to notice him Peter decided that she was pro at ignoring people. But it was MJ after all.
Michelle Jones.
Boy, could he say a lot about MJ.
One thing he could say is that she is an active feminist. Also, a person who stands for human rights. She was also very smart and humble. And very pretty. Like her long curly hair to her dark-brown eyes. Hmmm,
Wait.
Why was he thinking that?
Peter shook his head before leaning backwards in his chair and staring resolutely up at the ceiling. Not noticing MJ take out her sketchbook and begin to draw.
Peter focused on the ceiling, staring at the details and cracks in the wall as he carefully inspected the grooves and nooks, he was that bored. As he looked out the window into the halls he watched the dust particles float through the air, he loved his enhanced, well, everything. He suddenly realised something. He was like a vampire from Twilight. Sorta, minus the sparkling sun bit and blood and all. He had enhanced vision, strength, wait, also minus the not-sleeping and eating parts too. But still. When he thought about it the scene where Bella turned into a vampire and saw the world around her for the first time in detail was exactly like how he woke up and realised all these small things. Also when she looked into the mirror and saw how beautiful she was, it was like when he looked in the mirror and saw that he had abs. So, technically the spider that bit him (he hated spiders by the way) was like Edward. Cool. He was officially naming the dead spider Edward.
He then proceeded to close his eyes after this revelation and then muttered, in his head of course,
"God, I am such a nerd."

After detention, Peter jumped up excited, to leave the stuffy claustrophobic room. He walked over to MJ and tapped her on the shoulder. She looked up lazily but noticing it was him quickly slammed her book shut and tried to shove it into her bag hurriedly. But the book caught onto one of the straps instead and tumbled out of her bag to the floor.
It lay open showing a detailed sketch of Peter. His eyes closed with his head tilted back as he crossed his arms behind his head. Peter's mouth dropped open as he bent forward and gripped the book thumbing the page, but as he began to look closer to see a small heart right next to the drawing on the left side MJ snatched it from his fingertips and stuffed it into her backpack angrily as she strode past him and into the school halls. She then looked over her shoulder and said,
"It's rude to look at other people's things." She said as Peter hurried after her.
"But I was curious," Peter responded. A smile teasing his lips.
"Curiosity killed the cat," MJ quoted glaring at Peter.
"Luckily the cat has 9 lives," Peter stated.
"That's a myth." She bantered. She quirked her brow as he opened his mouth once again.
"Good thing I'm not a cat then," Peter replied. MJ rolled her eyes but hid a small smile as she headed towards the doors. Peter hurriedly following her. As they climbed down the stairs clutching their backpacks a black car with tinted windows slid into the school's driveway. Peter grinned as he rushed towards the door with MJ uninterestedly trailing after him. Peter pulled open the car door and waited for MJ to step in. MJ sighed and climbed in before pulling the door closed after her almost crushing Peter's fingers. Peter rushed over to the other side of the car and jumped in just before the car sped off.
As they sped off Peter looked up at Happy who was in the driver's seat staring at him questionably through the rearview mirror.
"Oh, right. MJ this is Happy my families designated driver and head of security, trainer, bodyguard and he's also sort of my manager. Happy this is MJ she's my friend other than Ned. She found out that I am Spiderman and she's very mad at me." Peter said pointing at Happy and then at MJ. Happy sighed and pressed the button to pull up the divider.
"Happy, happy ~. Hey! Happy!" Peter said, no response. He turned back to MJ who was smiling while looking at her hands.
"Hey MJ. Watch-a smiling about?" Peter asked. He couldn't help but notice that as the sun beamed through the window on her she looked beautiful. Like really, really beautiful. He continued to gaze at her until she said,
"Hey, Peter. Watch-a looking at?" MJ mimicked him when she noticed he had been staring at her for an awfully long time.
"N-nothing." Peter stuttered embarrassed at being caught. Did he like MJ? No. That was impossible, right? And plus, she probably only saw him as a friend. But what about that drawing of him? Peter being very confused about his feelings began to nervously fiddle with his fingers. MJ noticed this and knowing that he did that when he was confused or nervous began asking him questions about what she was actually going to be doing.
"Peter, Peter. PETER." She yelled to get his attention. Peter jumped and looked over at her,
"Yah?" He inquired.
"What are we going to be doing?" She asked immediately. Peter grinned.
"That's a surprise." He responded.
"But I want to know," MJ said. She said crossing her arms across her chest.
"I promise you'll love it. Plus, we're almost at the towers, you can meet all my uncles and aunts." He countered.
"Hmmm, promise?" MJ asked.
"Promise," Peter responded.
"By the way, why did you tell yourself, I quote, 'God, I am such a nerd.' During detention?" MJ suddenly asked.

So, I wrote this in pages and there it said I had written 1,000 words but here on Wattpad it said I wrote 964, I am confused. So I'm just typing this author note to get it to 1,000.
Perfect. (1,006 words) (No, wait, 1,009)
