Chapter 12- The Moment B's Been Waiting for

I would like to dedicate this chapter to my best friend. She helped me come up with the name for this chapter and inspired me to write this chapter. She is also one of the reasons I started watching Riverdale. I love you bestie!

(Narrator's POV)

As Veronica was walking into Pop's she saw her two best friends talking and she felt herself suddenly feeling overjoyed but that feeling quickly passed by the time she walked in. Veronica could feel her cheeks get flushed as she curled her hand into a fist. She had just seen her two best friends kissing. She was royally pissed.

"What are you doing?!?!" She yelled at them before storming off to god knows where. She had nowhere to go, her dad kicked her out, and she was staying at Betty's and now this happened, so she had no idea what to do.

"Veronica!" Betty yelled running after her.

"What do you want Betty?" Veronica asked her in the middle of her crys

"I want to talk to you. I'm sorry. It just happened and I'm sorry. I just, just-"

"Still love Jughead. And not me, but still doesn't give you a reason to cheat on me! At least break up with me first," Veronica said cutting off Betty.

"V, I'm sorry. I love you but not like that anymore. I still want my best friend. And yes I still love Jughead. He was my first love. Can we be just best friends?" Betty says grabbing Veronica's hand.

"Just, just, I just need time to get over you. Okay? I still wanna be friends too, but I can't be around you for a while. I'm gonna see if I can stay at Cheryl's," Veronica says looking at her now ex-girlfriend.

Betty and Jughead look at each other then Betty says, "Okay. Also don't be mad at Jug. I kissed him. It's not his fault."

"Whatever, I'll see you at school tomorrow." Veronica says walking back to her car.

Veronica went to Betty's to get her stuff and was about to leave when Alice stopped her and asked, "Hey Veronica, where are you going?"

"Uh Cheryl's," Veronica said wiping her tears.

Alice got up from her seat and gave Veronica a hug. She then asked her, "Why are you crying honey."

"B-B-Betty broke up with m-me."

"It'll be okay. I'll talk to her."

"You don't have to Alice. I'm fine, it's just that I love her and she loves me too but not like that. I still wanna be friends with her I just need some time and space to get over her and figure stuff out."

"Well just so you know you can always talk to me if you need. I will always be here for you Veronica," Alice said as she let go of Veronica.

Veronica walked over to the door to leave before she said, "Thank you Alice for letting me stay here and for being here for me."

Alice smiled at her and then Veronica left to go to Cheryl's house.
