Chapter 18- Planning Time

(1 ½ month time skip)
(Betty’s POV)
“So V how much time do we have until Toni and Cheryl get back from Cheryl’s appointment?” I ask.

“Um,” Veronica looks at her phone, “About an hour and a half, so text Kevin and tell him to get his butt over here so we can start planning this surprise baby shower and gender reveal party”

“Okay,” I say and pull out my phone to text Kevin.

Betty- Cheryl and Toni will be back in 1 ½ hours

Kevin- Its not cHeRyL aNd ToNi its CHONI

Betty- Don’t sass me! And kev just get over here

Betty- NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kevin- Just because of that imma take a long time missy

Betty- KEVIN YOU LITTLE SHIT GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE NOW OR I AM GOING TO BASH YOUR FACE IN WITH A HIGH HEEL –xoxo Veronica

“There,” Veronica says letting out a huff of air.

I just start dying of laughter because of what just happened. Veronica looks at me and says, “What?”

“Oh mt god. Y-you didn’t have to t-threaten him!” I say still laughing.

“Well, maybe I didn’t but it did the trick,” She says as she pulls me into and embrace and kisses me.

“You look so cute when you laugh,” She says after she pulls away from the kiss.

“What are you talking about? Pfft I always look cute.”

“You’re not lying. You are pretty adorable.”

I smile at her and she smiles back. Then we start to get out all of our stuff to start planning. Cheryl and Toni asked us to plan a gender reveal party and Toni asked us to plan a surprise baby shower. We have to get the decorations picked out, ready, and we have to set them both up when they happen. Toni is letting us pick out the color scheme for the baby shower and she wants either a blue or red because Toni likes blue and Cheryl loves red.
We start to work on designing how we are going to set up for the gender reveal party which will be on Saturday, which by the way is five days away. After about 10 minutes Kevin shows up with Joaquin in tow.

“Kev get over here and help V design the setup. Joaquin and I will talk colors for the baby shower,” I say.

“So uh this is not really my thing so I have no idea whats going on,” Joaquin confesses to me when he sits down.

I smile at him and say, “I’d guess so Mr. Serpent. And its fine we just have to think of what color or colors we should have for Cheryl’s baby shower. Toni was thinking a type of blue or a type of red. So which should we start with, blue or red?”

“Um blue but uh shouldn’t we wait to pick out the color till we know the gender?” Joaquin asks.

“Huh. I never thought to do that. We’ll work on the color scheme later I guess. Well then lets help Kev and V design the gender reveal party,” I say smiling at him.

(Toni’s POV)
“So Cheryl there is your baby,” Dr. Desantos said pointing at the monitor, “Its looking nice and healthy. Head is a good size. Has the correct number of arms and legs.”

Cheryl let out a sigh, “That’s good. I’ve been reading about babys being born with out an arm or leg. Not that I’m saying I wouldn’t love my baby if it didn’t have an arm or-“

“Cheryl its fine. I know what you mean. You just want a healthy baby and want the baby to have a pretty normal life,” Dr. Desantos said smiling at her.

“Okay I just thought, you know, you’d judge me.”

“Yeah I know and I would never. Okay important question, do you two want to know the gender right now or wait?”

“Could you write it on this piece of paper in put it in the envelope? We are going to have a gender reveal party with our friends,” I ask handing her an envelope containing a blank piece of paper.

“Yeah I can definately do that.”

“Thanks.”

“No problem.”

I look over at Cheryl and she is rubbing her hand over the envelope. She looks nervous but also happy. I take one hand off the steering wheel and grab her hand, lightly rubbing the pad of my thumb over the top. She looks and me and smiles.

“Do you want to go get something to eat?” I ask her.

“Uh sure. Pop’s?”

“If that’s what you want.”

“Yeah that’s what we want,” She says chuckling.

“Okay. Pop’s for the two most precious things in my life.”

“I gotta go use the restroom. Just order my usual,” I told Cheryl as we got into Pop’s.

As I’m walking to the bathroom I pull out my phone and start dialing Veronica’s number. By the time I get to into the bathroom Veronica picks up.

Veronica- Topaz

Toni- Lodge

Veronica- Are you guys on your way back?

Toni- No we stopped at Pop’s but we should be back in about half an hour so try and get all the baby shower stuff put away because we do not want Cheryl figuring that out.

Veronica- We already put most of it away and we are just working on the gender reveal party.

Toni- Okay I was just making sure. Bye I gotta get back to Cheryl. We wouldn’t want Bombshell to come out.

Veronica- Bye Topaz and no that would be bad.

I put my phone away and go to find where Cheryl’s sitting.

(Veronica’s POV)
“Elizabeth Cooper!” Kevin yells as he throws the ball of paper back at Betty.

“Stop messing around! Both of you! We have work to do,” I tell them.

Kevin leans towards Betty and whispers, “Somebody is bossy today.”

“I heard that,” I say looking at Kevin

“Shit.”

Betty laughs, “Somebody’s in trouble now.”

"Big trouble," I say staring down Kevin.

"I'm sorry Veronica. I beg for your mercy and for you to not step on me with your high heels. It hurt bad last time. The bruises didnt go a way for a week!" Kevin says.

"Whatever," I laugh.

"I wasnt gonna actually do anything. You just look so hilarious when you're scared," I tell him

"Phew, I'm glad."

We all start laughing and then Cheryl and Toni walk in the door and we talk about the gender reveal party. That give me the envelope with the gender inside for the reveal. I know Toni and Cheryl don't really care about the gender as long as the baby is healthy. Like I know that if the child turns out to be transgender or non-binary I know they won't care because they both are very supportive and open.

Okay I know I said I wouldnt be able to update for a while but I forgot that I wrote this chapter and I feel obligated to post since I havent posted in like 2 or more months and I won't post again for 2 or more months.
