My alarm wakes me up far too early the next morning, and I don't even register what day it is until we arrive at the airport.

I debate whether I should get coffee to wake up or just sleep on the plane, and I go with sleep, of course.

Luckily we don't end up waiting long for our flight, and as soon as we take our seat, I'm fast asleep.

A few hours later, I'm woken up to someone shaking me, and I look up to see David, who also looks like he just woke up.
We collect all of our bags, and there's a car waiting for us.

He tells us all about the island, and since he works for the company that's sponsoring David, he tells him of all the requirements for David to do, which isn't bad really.

He just needs to post a vlog about it, a couple of Instagram posts, and since I came along, I have to post some too, not that I mind.
Totally worth a free trip to Hawaii.

We arrive at a house, that has to be the most gorgeous house I've ever seen.
It's small, but not too small. Perfect for the two of us.

It has a private pool and access to the beach that it sits on, and I can't help but become more excited for this trip.
I'm so grateful David asked me to come along.

We get settled quickly, before we decide to hit the beach.

I change into my red bikini, before throwing a big Metallica shirt overtop, and head out to the living room to wait for David.
"Ready?" He asks as he comes out, dressed in black swimming shorts and a grey top.
I nod, and we grab towels before heading down to the beach.

I lay out my towel and notice that there's nobody around.

I guess we really do have part of the beach to ourselves.

This will be good because if there's any fans around, they won't be able to speculate what's going on between David and I.

"The water is beautiful," I say admiring the view.
The water is crystal clear, and the sound of the waves is so relaxing.
"I know. I'm glad you were able to come," He smiles to me as he also lays out his towel.
"Me too. Thanks for bringing me,"

I throw off my t-shirt so I'm just in my bikini, and I smirk when David's face grows red and his eyes fix on my body.

"What's wrong, David?" I tease, and he catches on. Next thing I know, he's throwing his shirt off, and I'm over his shoulder as he makes his way to the water.
"David! No!" I scream in between laughs. He's laughing too as I collide with the ice cold water. I come up to see David standing there laughing, so I tackle him into the water.

We play around in the water for a while, splashing each other, until we get tired and decide to lay on our towels to dry off for a while before heading back to the house.

We both shower once we get back, and I just throw on a pair of sweatpants and a tank top until we come up with any plans for later.

I head back out to the living room to see him sitting on the couch watching a show.

Instead of joining him, I decide to go on the back porch and watch the waves.

The sun is starting to set at this point, and I take pictures on my phone for my Instagram story, before putting my phone away.

David joins me a few minutes later, sitting on the porch swing with me.

"I love it here," He admits and I can't help but agree. The peacefulness is just so calming, and I already feel so relaxed even though we haven't even been here a full day.

"It's a nice break that's for sure," I say.

"Have you heard from Shawn or your parents?" He asks and I shake my head.

"Nope," I say popping the P.

"Do you still have feelings for Shawn?" He asks, and he starts playing with his fingers which he always does when he's nervous.
"No I don't. I lost all respect for him when it all went down. I could care less if I ever see him again," I admit and he nods.
"Do you have feelings for Liza?" I throw the ball back in his court. I know he's been losing feelings for her, just because he's been talking about her less and less, but I'm unsure if there's still feelings lingering.
"Not really. I mean I still care about her, but as a friend," He says and I nod in understanding.
My phone vibrates, and I pick it up to see a text from Dylan

Dylan: Dinner tonight?

Natalie: Rain check? I'm in hawaii

Dylan: Oh with future bf? Win him over

Dylan does know about David, and my feelings toward him. He's actually been incredibly supportive through me gaining enough courage to tell him, and it's been a relief.

I'm glad we were able to become such good friends.

"Who's Dylan?" David asks peaking over my shoulder.

"He's a friend of mine. I met him at a coffee shop and we've become good friends," I tell him, and I see jealousy pouring out of his eyes.
"Friends," I emphasize, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
We both freeze. I didn't mean to do that, it just happened.
I didn't want to be the one that initiated a relationship, I just wanted to see where it went.

David looks at me, and we maintain eye contact for a couple of seconds before there's a beep coming from the kitchen. I guess David made food.
David heads to the kitchen, and it takes me a couple of seconds to bring my mind back to reality.

I told myself not to jump into things and here I am making the move.

Love really controls you, doesn't it?
