with things i really don't need
i know this but i can't really stop
shopping till i drop
preferably, dead
there'll be no more emptiness
when i've disappeared
there'll be no more sadness
till then, you'll find me
working and buying to fill the void
with the things i really don't need
it's just another shopping spree
please don't mind me.

i try to soothe the pain
i try to get as much as i can
i look forward each day
when my orders are all delivered
i know what you want to say
but this is a new way to survive
we all have temporary pleasures
to numb and fill the emptiness
and look, i'm not judging you
about your own ways of numbing pain
why don't you do the same?
let's just do what we all need to do:
fill our voids with things we don't need.
