LAYLANI'S POV
After my mom opened the doors of the church (which means you go get saved, join the church, get baptized etc) Keondre got up. I got so teary eyes and I was in awe. I guess I just had to let him do it in his own time and I'm happy he's ready to give himself to the Lord.
"LaLa", he turned around reaching his arms out for me and I got up grabbing it as we filled out a paper.
"I am so proud of you Keondre", I said looking at him while he wrote down his info on the paper.
"Thanks but I did this for me"
"I know, which makes me even happier"
More people came to get saved and everything and then my mom welcolmed them. She said they'd be going in the water in 2 Sudays since that when 1st Sunday is and I super can't wait. I was smiling and grinning the whole entire rest of service.
My mom prayed and dismissed us and now we're outside talking.
"Keondre I am so happy you got saved and I know your mother would love to see you right now", Keondre's dad said.
"I know but I want y'all to know that I did this for me. I didn't get saved for nobody, I didn't get saved cause y'all was getting on my nerves about it, I did it for me. I happy y'all happy but don't feel like you the reason I did it"
"Okay we won't. You wanna go see your mom?", I asked holding on to his arm
"Yeah come on. Where's Tony?"
"I'm hungry"
"You ate before you came"
"UUuuugghhh I'm hungry", he yelled.
"Keondre come here I need to speak with you", my mom said stepping out of the sanctuary"
"Yes ma'am", I let him go and he went into the church.
"I'm going with Mikey and his family and I'll see you later", Kayla said hugging me and walking with her boyfriend.
"I'll stay here with you LaLa since Le'Ron hasn't come to get me yet", Demetria said.
"I wonder where he's at anyway. How come he didn't come to church?"
"I don't know he's just weird like that. He's sometimesey but I know this much, if he don't feed me I'm going to hurt him"
"Awe. Well maybe he's getting you something to eat right now"
"Nah I doubt it"
Just then he pulled up swerving and stomped hard on the brakes. He got out the car and his eyes were red and low. He came over to Demetria and grabbed her arm dragging her to the car.
"Le'Ron stop, you stink, have you been smoking and drinking?", she asked snatching her arm back.
"Yeah why you worried about it? Let's go I got stuff to do"
"No I'm not going anywhere with you until you calm down. I'm staying with LaLa"
"DON'T TELL ME WHAT YOU GONE DO!!", everybody that was still at the church stopped and looked up at him.
"Le'Ron what's wrong with you?", she asked in a low voice.
"Don't worry about it, let's go. Now!!", he yanked on her and just then my mom came out with Keondre behind her.
"Le'Ron what's going on?"
"Nothing. Demetria let's go"
She stopped fighting with him and she just got in the car with him without saying another word. He sped out the parking lot making tire noises as he drove out of sight.
