Christmas time basics

Quix lazily sat on the staircase of the rescue house, he could hear some humans making their gibberish noises and smiled to himself, Jack poked his head through the window and tapped Quix's head, "hurry up kid, we're going to start setting up!" Exclaimed Jack, Quiz squinted his eyes in confusion, "what?" He asked, "Christmas, we're going to give these guys a Christmas" explained Jack, Quix jumped to his feet and rushed inside, "wait!! Its almost Christmas! Times flown!" Exclaimed Quix, his eyes seemed to sparkle with his joy.

Jack eyed Quix and gave a sly grin, "why yes it has, and now why don't we start getting everything set up" he said slowly, Quix pouted at Jack and picked up one of the humans, he had giving this female the name 'Shayla' and she was one of the ones he had saved, her long black hair smooshed against Quix's chest, her arms rested on his and she giggled at the attention, "you can buy the supplies, and set things up, I'd like to see how you do this" stated Jack, Quix gave him a curious look, the other humans watched curiously, Rebel sat on a couch and watched, before hopping off and joining his owner, "I'd start with shopping, don't worry I'll look after everyone else" assured Jack, Quix swung Shayla slightly her legs dangled freely, "right!" He exclaimed.

He quickly placed Shayla back down and raced out of the room to grab stuff, he quickly returned with a small bag and harnesses and leashes, "Rebel! Shayla! Let's go!" He called, Shayla watched him happily, Rebel ran over to Quix, getting excited along with Quix.

Once harnesses and leashes were properly put on, Quix led them out and towards the shopping district, he entered a shop and started towards some aisles, various boxes of fake trees, colour oriented decorations and various other Christmas themed items, Quix dropped the leashes as he went towards the trees, the boxes showed pictures of different colours and sizes, he wanted to impress Jack so he focused all his attention on picking the most perfect decoration's.

Rebel and Shayla shrugged at each other before looking at all the pictures on the boxes, Shayla fell for the Reindeer decorations and Rebel really liked the musical decorations, so they grabbed what they liked and snuck them into the basket part of the trolley, Quix decided on a medium green tree and red and green decorations, he placed everything into the trolley and took it towards the front, an employee, scanned all items and told Quix everything would be delivered in an hour, Rebel and Shayla waited behind Quix and held their leashes to prevent anyone from accidentally stepping on them.

Quix quickly headed out, his humans jogged after him, Quix was heading towards a different store to buy Christmas presents, he felt he needed to worry, but his humans were getting tired of chasing after him so they stopped and headed towards a food place that smelt delicious, they stopped at the doorway and Rebel gently opened it, with some difficulty as he needed to jump to reach the handle, they entered the place shyly, not many people noticed as they were having holiday breakfasts with family or friends, Rebel went to the counter and motioned towards the manager, this was the second time he was in here and he knew who was in charge by their behaviour, the manager grinned at the two, "why if it isn't that rookies humans, real cute aren't you two, heh, know what you two deserve a lil Christmas treat, my gift ey" exclaimed the werewolf, his smile wide and happy, Rebel didn't understand completely but knew by the tone of voice that it only meant good things.

Shayla kept close to Rebel as she was still terribly nervous around strangers due to her past, she was only 15, but would have easily been appointed as a breeder this year, by the cruel people who raised her and the others, Rebel clapped excitedly as the manager passed him and Shayla Christmas themed sweets, Rebel thanked him as best he could, even though he couldn't speak the language, he then grabbed Shayla's hand and left the cafe.

Quix went shopping for everything and anything, then he reached the humans gifts, he looked at the toys and treats and hummed to himself, he glanced at his hand then beside him, he shook his head and froze, squeezing his hand, not feeling the leashes, he quickly shoved any good gifts into his trolley and caused to the counter, he had everything scanned and prepared to be sent over to the rescue house in an hour, he asked the cashier if he had brought in any humans, to which the cashier gave a no, he began to get nervous and thanked the cashier before racing out.

Rebel and Shayla sat on a bench and ate, their feet dangled above the ground, Shayla watched strangers walk by, she didn't like being away from Quix for so long, as she didn't trust many other owners, Rebel jumped down from the seat and watched Quix run by, he gave a whistle which made Quix flinch, the piercing noise was extra strong in the vampires ears, he glanced at the human, his eyes widened then he rushed over, Rebel crossed his arms at his owner, Shayla ran over and hugged Quix tightly, he picked her up, his arms looped under her arms she let her arms dangle in front of his arms and enjoyed herself dangling, Rebel followed as Quix headed home.

For the next few days Quix tried to make everything perfect, as Christmas was a day away, Quix was now more nervous then ever, he wanted everything to be perfect, he didn't understand why there was music and Reindeer decorations but Rebel and Shayla kept putting them out.

During the night on Christmas eve, Jack helped the humans, Quix's ones included set things up their way, and as morning came, Quix was shocked to see everything changed, he normally wouldn't be so upset, but he wanted nothing more than to impress  Jack.

Quix watched as everyone entered the room under Jacks instruction, "don't look so down boy, now tell me, how much did you use the help of the humans?" Asked Jack as he handed one of the humans a box, the human curiously opened it and grabbed out an adorable Christmas outfit with a light emitting toy, "huh... Oh... Man I'm sorry, I guess I did an awful job ey" sighed Quix, Jack gave Quix a playful shove, "nah don't stress, I get it, but its about the humans, not just impressing someone, besides, some of these guys have new homes waiting in a week, so let's make this special" stated Jack.

Jack gave Quix a present, he opened the box slowly and stared at the papers and harness collar, the harness collar had silver swirls on black fabric, "we all know Shayla is your human, but I went and made it official for ya" stated Jack, Quix grinned in delight and gave Shayla a quick hug before replacing her harness collar, he began to help hand out presents, various humans came out with different kinds of Christmas outfits and unique toys, while others received toys and adoption papers, Rebel received and comfy looking human sized dog bed to lie on outside along with a flying toy, Shayla received a soccer ball and a jingly hat.

"Oh here's yours" said Quix, handing Jack a present, it was a Jacket with 'Humans servant' as a gag gift alongside a certificate for a relaxing day at a spa, "you deserve it" muttered Quix flushing in embarrassment, Jack grinned widely, "you'll regret this I assure you" teased Jack, Quix smiled happily.
