Quix had been grumpy after the incident, of coarse he didn't show it towards his humans nor the wolf eared girl, but he wouldn't stop telling Tax, who would nod along and agree.

The girl soon left on the next carriages, she had a companion who spent their time in their room, excited to leave, the best friend of the half breed carried her two dogs towards the carriages and much to Echo's disapproval left, but the half breed girl made sure to give him an extra big hug.

It was finally the day for our group to leave, When Julius arrived with his carriage, he called out, Quix happily bounded up, startling the horses enough to make them turn their heads, Tax gripped the suitcases and watched Goldy troop over to the horses with an outstanding confidence, the big horses scared Echo, but Goldy happily felt their noses and giggled as they blew in her face.

The carriage set off with a jerk, Goldy tumbled and Echo gripped madly at Tax, who opened up the back end of the carriage, which was just some fabric that gets rolled up and tied up, he made sure to connected the inbuilt leads to their harnesses as he didn't want his humans falling out, Goldy gazed in wonder as the countryside passed them by, this place was the wildest she had ever seen, Echo stared and occasionally glanced at Goldy, to make sure she didn't vanish, Quix was giddy in his nervousness, "what's the first destination?" Asked Quix, "the first stop for our group is a small town, known for its human population, we would have been going to a town with so many dogs, but to many fortama goers are already headed that way" explained Julius, "what does that mean?" Asked Tax, nobody really told people much about the outside towns, simply so they could enjoy their fortama even more.

"Well this town, Doll village has some of the best human breeding centres, even though there are breeding centres in other places, these ones come out with the best natured and looking ones" explained Julius, Quix nodded, again forgetting Julius cannot see him, "they also have the most successful human shelter" added Julius as an after thought. Quix became more excited, "and where to after that?" Asked Quix, "ooh this place you'll enjoy, I'll give you two pieces of info, its the town that the aliens made themselves and its not on the ground, but we can still drive up" explained Julius, Quix paused, "a place that's not built on the ground? I'm so confused" muttered Quix, but he couldn't stop his tapping foot, "we'll get to Doll village in a week so it won't be the longest trip we'll take." Explained Julius.

The week went quick, with meals, toilet stops, horse care stops, and driver care stops it seemed to be an event all by itself, the town came into view, a very clean place with big wire fences were humans could be seen playing and sleeping, they seemed to wake up as soon as the carriage approached, Echo didn't recognise this place, the crying of human babies carried through the air.

Tax patted Goldie's head and watched the town approach through the small window at the front of the carriage, Goldy was trying to jump up and look with him, Echo and Quix gazed through the second window in awe.

They got out and had to help get the horses prepared for a break, a big paddock with green grass sat invitingly, even the snow which had fallen during the week seemed to avoid the lush paddock, the horses bolted and reared and bucked in joy, Tax smiled, "gorgeous" he murmured, Julius nodded agreement, "seeing such personality rich creatures I needed to take this profession" explained Julius, Tax nodded, while that was going on, Quix carried Goldy and Echo out of the carriage, Goldy giggled and laughed seeing the horses acting like yearlings, Echo was looking at the streets which conjured up a suited up man, a very sharp eared vampire, "greetings! Its good to see some human lovers coming to our wonderful village" said the man catching everyone's attention, "I will be your guide for the week" explained the man, "the names James Caron, but you can call me Jam" added the man, Quix grinned, Tax approached interested, Julius busied himself with caring for the horses tack.
