Chapter Two

Y/N P.O.V

After class I walked to my locker cubby, and across from me was the boy from earlier. This is my chance to say something to him. I walked over to him, "H..hi, um..I'm-" He glanced at me and sighed, "Ah the one who walked in late and started a ruckus with one our your classmates. Y/N L/N, the girl with the same quirk as him too, the one who scored highest on the activity today." What in the hell is his problem? "Well now, that is no way to talk to someone who is trying to be your friend." I reply to his comment with my own snarky one. I heard a 'tch' from him and he closed his locker and stared at me, "I didn't come here to play friends miss L/N. So if you don't mind, I'll continue my way to become a hero."

With that being said, he started to walk away. Oh, hell no, I am not going down without a fight, not this way. I grabbed his arm, "Wait for just a second! I don't care if you didn't come to make friends. You know when someone is nice to you, you don't ignore it and be cold towards them. Whoever the hell raised you did a shitty job. When someone greets them, you don't push them aside, you greet them back. So nice meeting you Icyhot, we'll have a great year together." I turn and leave towards Ochako, Tsu and Deku, with a stern look on my face, I swear if he talks to me like that again, I will crucify him.

Todoroki P.O.V

I watched as the h/c girl, known as Y/N L/N walked away. No one has ever talked to me that way, except for my father. She greeted her friends and they were on their way home. Maybe she was right, I was being cold and rude. And my father did indeed raise me to be an asshole to others. I frowned thinking about what she had said, but I can't help but admire the way she acted. I turned with a small smirk on my face as I made my way home. Maybe one day I'll take her up on that offer of friendship.

Y/N P.O.V

It was pretty late by the time I got back home. I opened the door and as expected he wasn't home yet. I went up to my room and set my bags down on my desk. My phone buzzed, and I looked at it.

Super Dad
I'll be home soon Y/N, no need to worry! I'll be there!! Just
hang tight for a bit, I'll be bringing home some food, so
don't eat without me!

Y/N 
Don't worry dad! I know you'll be back soon! By the way,
I met that Izuku Midoriya kid, I see why you choose him
to be your successor. I also met Endeavor's kid, he wasn't
so nice. I'll tell you more when you get home. Be safe!

With that, I got to doing my homework and listening to music. I was singing along to this awesome new jam when I heard the familiar "I AM HERE!" from my father downstairs. "I wonder whose home? I think it must be that famous hero Endeavor!" I yell out making my way down the stairs. "Very funny, Y/N. Now, let's eat dinner then you can tell me all about your day!" He said with a smile like always.

I love my father, well you see he isn't actually my real dad. When I was young, just barely 3, my mother was killed by a villain. This villain happened to be fighting All Might, and he spotted my mother shielding me behind her back. We were on our way home from my mother's work when the attack happened. All I seem to remember is her screaming and then falling limp over me. The next thing I know is that I'm being carried away by All Might.
A few weeks into me being in an orphanage, someone adopted me. A man by the name of Toshinori Yagi took me into his care. At first, I wasn't sure who it was, but later realized it was indeed All Might who adopted me. The citizens went gaga over how their symbol of peace was now a father, and it was all in the news. So naturally, I grew up with this as a secret. I never told anyone who my father was, and he never told anyone who his secret child was, to protect us both.

I looked over at him and smiled, "Thanks for dinner dad, but I think I should get some shut eye. Wouldn't want to be late for school tomorrow, again." He smiled back, of course, he did, when doesn't he? He nodded, giving me permission to go upstairs for bed. I thought back to what happened earlier.

"L/N..how are you...smiling?"

Well Deku, I think I have your answer now, I smile because I learned to from my father because I don't want anyone to know how much I've been hurt in the past. My mind wandered, Maybe, that's the reason why Icyhot is so cold. His past must've been worse than mine...
