I ran over to Deku hugging him, "You did it Deku, why are you crying??" He smiled and hugged me back and then he hugged Ochako as she came by after finishing herself, landing her a spot at 15th. The crowd was cheering for us, with smiles and yells. "They're cheering for us, Ochako!" I say with a bright smile on my face grabbing her hands. We were all bright smiles and racing hearts, it was only the beginning to a long, stressful day.
As soon as we were all in the arena again, our placements showed up on a large screen, broadcasting to the world. Only the first forty-two students who crossed the line will advance into the next round, I'm glad that I came in fourth then. I watched as everyone was gathered either panting or stretching. Miss Midnight then proceeded to explain round two of the tournament. Calvary battle, eh? Sounds straight forward. Miss Midnight had explained the rules and point system, and I could tell that it was only going to be hell for poor Deku coming in first.
As I expected, Deku was given the highest point value of 10,000,000. Bakugou gained 200 points, Todoroki had 205 points and I ended up with 195 points. Everyone's point value decreased by 5 from our position. I watched as everyone split up dividing themselves into their teams. Being in the top five I should team up with those I trust. I searched for Deku since he was one of my closest friends here, he was already there with Ochako.
"Do you two mind if I join your group for the battle?" I asked walking up to them. They turned to me smiling and Deku grabbed my hands, "Of course Y/N! We were actually looking for other members for our group." I smile and nod as we go to try to talk to Iida, but he eventually declined in a rude manner. Think Y/N, who else could join your group? I was about to go to one of the class 1-B kids but Deku hauled us over to Tokoyami Fumikage. Deku asked him In the most inspirational way to join our Calvary group, and he agreed.
Soon everyone's groups had been chosen and we all were in our formation. I was on one side and right across from me also holding up Deku's weight was Ochako. In front was Tokoyami as he was one of the most powerful of all of us, and of course, Deku was on top wearing the headband with our points on top of them. We all set up away from one another and got into starting positions. I looked at my team and took a deep breath, "You all should know everyone will be coming after us because of Deku's points. I don't want you guys to give up if those points are taken, promise me that you will all keep pushing 'til the very end." They nodded with grins on their faces, determined grins.
The timer was counting down as was Miss Midnight. My mind raced with possible outcomes then went completely blank when it reached zero. Teams made their way towards us and we looked at the enemies ahead. Deku held out his arms and spoke, "On my count...ready..."
