Chapter Thirteen

~ Y/N P.O.V ~

Everyone's first battles had gone by quickly. The ones advancing to the second round out the performed battles were Deku, Todoroki, Iida, Ashido, Bakugou, and Tokoyami. My battle with Kaminari was up next. I starred at the arena as I tried to remember whose quirk I had copied last. Obviously over two hours ago I had managed to take on Bakugou's quirk, that doesn't help me here though. I stiffen up a bit when I hear Miss Midnight announce that it was Y/N L/N versus Kaminari Denki.

Think Y/N, whose power did you absorb last? My mind was running through various thoughts as my body made its way towards the arena. All I could hear within the next few moments were a 'good luck' from Kaminari and the words 'BEGIN'. I look up to see Kaminari setting up for an attack. "You know Y/N, I don't like hitting girls so if I hit you too hard, I can kiss it all better." He said while taking his stance.

This made my blood boil, he is so not trying to flirt with me during a fight! After what he said earlier about Todoroki and me, oh hell no! I smirked getting in a fighting stance, "Don't worry darling, I won't mess you up too much, you can still charge my phone after this." Echoing 'oohs' and laughs filled the festival arena. He frowned a bit and started to charge up, "Y/N I can't believe I'm going to have to hurt you for that. I'll let you hold the gold medal when I win, I promise." He winked and soon he was halfway charged with energy.

It finally came to my head what quirk I copied. I can't use it, but if I do people will expect it from me due to our relationship. I sigh, "All right Kaminari, you've asked for it!" I smirked and started my way towards the charging boy. I planted my left foot in the ground about a foot away from him, lifting my right leg up pulling it back just a touch. My body surged with energy like I've only seen two places before, Izuku Midoriya...and my father, All Might.

I swung my leg towards Kaminari's unexpecting body, I let out an audible yell. It was no special yell just an attack grunt, I guess. My leg slammed into Kaminari's stomach with so much power that it lifted him and pushed him backwards about three feet. Kaminari let out an agitated grunt and he fell backward. "Yo! Y/N where'd this power come from?! I thought you had a quirk like Bakugou!" Kaminari complained when he stood his ground frowning a bit. I giggled a bit and shrugged, "You never know Kaminari! I'm a wildcard."

As I had made my last comment, I put my hands to the side palms up as if I were trying to cup something. When my hands had done this, I felt another surge of energy pulse through my body, this time electricity came from my hands. Kaminari's quirk. I looked up at his face, which like many others whom I had fought with their own quirk, he looked surprised. I laughed a bit with a smile, and I felt my body move on its own towards Kaminari.

I ran up to him so fast that he barely had time to react. My hand reached up towards his face grabbing it as I continued to run. I stopped about a foot from the boundary and with all my force I pushed on his face with the electricity. To my surprise, I had enough strength to push him out of bounds and stun him. I breathed deeply and stood up tall, smiling and looking at my classmates. "Denki Kaminari is out of bounds, Y/N L/N is the winner!"

I stood tall listening to the cheers from the arena, I felt somewhat awkward though. I looked over at Kaminari who was on the ground still shook from the experience. I frowned a bit and made my way towards him. "Hey, are you alright? Did I hurt you at all?" I ask him, offering him my hand of help. He took it and I helped him stand up. "Y/N, how many quirks do you have?" He asked questioning my abilities. I gave him a shrug and a small giggle. As if the audience could hear us from our position in the arena, the hero and announcer Present Mic answered Kaminari's question, "Well well well! It's so great that we got to see Y/N L/N's quirk in action and using several kinds! Her quirk is really special and like one we've seen earlier today. Although she tries to keep to using one kind, she can actually copy two different people's quirks and use them as her own! If you haven't guessed it already, Y/N's ability is quirk copy!"

I sigh as the cheers got louder and my quirk was revealed. Maybe it was best that it was revealed now and not later on. Kaminari put his arm around my neck and we started walking towards the exit to go sit with the others. "Aw now isn't that sweet! Good sportsmanship at its finest, now let's continue and move onto the last battle of the first round. Kirishima Eijirou and Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu!" Present Mic announced with the roaring crowd behind him.
