Smile {Shoto Todoroki x Reader }

Chapter Thirty-One

 ~ Y/N P.O.V ~

The exams weren't that hard as we all had thought, at least for me. In the written exam, I placed in the top five out of the twenty-one students. In the practical exam, I was paired with Deku and Bakugou versus my father, All Might. My job was to make sure that Deku and Bakugou didn't kill each other. Fortunately, we passed, and their relationship wasn't as bad as we all had thought.

Now we were sitting in the classroom listening to Kaminari and a few of the other students who didn't pass the exam complain and sulk about. It was the same old same old with their stories, so I started to zone out into my own thoughts. I was brought back to reality by a peck to my cheek. Naturally, I turn to see what happened, and to my surprise, I saw Shoto next to me.

I smiled, "Hey Shoto. Did you just kiss my cheek?" He blushed a slight shade of pink and nodded. "Did you hear them, Y/N?" Shoto asked, gesturing to the rest of the group beside us. I shook my head in denial, "Sorry I was in my own little world. What were we talking about?" I got a symphony of sighs and groans from the group. Then Ochako makes her way over to me placing her hands on my shoulders, "Silly! We got word that all of us are going on the summer trip! So, we were wondering if you would like to go to the mall with us to prepare of course." I smiled and accepted their request, not knowing that Shoto had other plans.

"What do you mean you aren't going to the mall with us?" I ask Shoto frowning as he walked me home. He sighed again, "I told you, I'm going to see my mother. You go enjoy yourself before the training camp." I smiled and hugged his arm tightly. I earned a smile from him as we neared my house. I turn to face him and look into his multi-colored eyes. With a breathless sigh, I said, "Well then I guess I'll see you later then. I love you spicy boy." He smiled at my words and hugged me tightly, giving me a quick kiss on the tip of my nose. I frowned and kissed his lips softly then pulled away, "Go see your mom and tell her about how you scored the best girlfriend in the entire world." He nodded and as soon as he left, I went inside to retire for the night.

It was now the next day and I was meeting the others for our class trip to the mall. I've never been to this mall, so I wasn't sure what I was getting into at this point. I met up with Ochako and Izuku as we walked to meet the others at the mall entrance. It was upsetting that Shoto wasn't here, but I know I can't be the annoying girlfriend who does everything with him...I don't want to be that girl. "Earth to Y/N. What do you think we should do first?" Hakagure asked while, I assume, jumping up and down. "Let's get some must-haves; swimwear," I replied with a smirk.

We all split into groups and I ended up basically third-wheeling with Ochako and Izuku. As we were walking, I noticed someone following us but my attention was pulled away when I noticed Ochako running off. "I'll get her, you just stay here, alright?" I say to Izuku and run after my friend. I finally caught up to her and listened to her rant about a crush and how someone said something to make her realize her crush was true. I smiled, "I'm sure Deku likes you back Ochakko." She nodded shyly and after a few minutes of conversing, I finally convinced her to come with me back with the deserted Izuku.

When we approached Izuku, I noticed he was with some man and he was...being choked?! "Deku...who's this?" Ochako asked with the worry evident in her voice. I grabbed her hand lightly, glaring at the man, "Careful...you're talking to a villain." Her eyes widened as she looked at the scene in front of us. "Observant aren't we, Y/N? Your father would be so thrilled at this news, " The villain we know as Tomura Shiguraki hissed with a quiet voice, and continued, "I'll be on my way then Midoriya, I had no clue you were with friends."

Tomura stood up, and made his way slowly by us; as Ochako and I rushed to Izuku's side he shouted after Tomura, "What is it that All For One wants?!" There was silence for a mere thirty seconds before Tomura turned, with a sadistic grin plastered on his face. "Who knows, all I can say is that you better keep a close eye on these friends of yours. Especially the pretty H/C one, she's valuable to our mission." My eyes widened as I realized that Shiguraki was talking about me... What could All For One want with me? It couldn't possibly be about what happened years ago, could it?

Ochako and I helped Izuku and eventually the mall was shut down in order to track down Shiguraki. We were all questioned and brought down to the police station for more information. As I exited the station, I saw my father and I smiled going to hug him. "Can't I have a day without worrying about you Y/N?" He said wrapping his arms around my form. I smiled, "Thanks dad, but it's the price of being a hero. Can we go home and just eat something while I pack for the trip?" He nodded and we started heading home. "I was thinking that I could make something tonight." He said with a proud smile to which I snorted and laughed, "You make us dinner? Ha, let's just order some take out." It's times like these where I wish my mother were here with me...but without her, I found a home with someone who loves me just as much.
