Chapter Fourteen

~ Y/N P.O.V ~

Kirishima vs Tetsutetsu? This should be interesting. I thought as I made way into the stands where my class was seated. As I walked into the open seating area I was greeted with happy smiles. "Y/N! How come you didn't tell us what your quirk was?!" Ochako complained as she called me over. I smile and shrugged, "Well first off, no one actually ever asked me what my quirk was. Hence why I never felt compelled to tell anyone. Secondly, I thought it would be pretty cool to see everyone freaked out when I showed them that I had a wild card quirk."

Some of my classmates laughed except hedgehog and icyhot of course. Bakugou grunted, "It's not like that quirk is something special. It just means you depend on other people's quirks to defend yourself and make you feel special." My happy-go-lucky aura had begun to diminish. I never thought about it that way...I was using their quirks to push myself forward when in reality, I can't use my other quirk due to its complicity and the danger it could bring upon others. I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up to see...wait are my eyes deceiving me?! Todoroki's hand was on my shoulder and he had an angered expression.

"No one's quirk is there to put themselves first or is unimportant. If Y/N's quirk is so dumb, then that makes yours even more useless of a quirk. She has the ability to copy any opponents power to use to her advantage." He said with a disappointed look on his face. I pulled my body away from him, remembering what had happened earlier and the words he had told me.

"I'm sorry Todoroki, but I can fight my own battles. If Bakugou wants to think that, let him because in reality...his opinion wouldn't matter to the heroes he would be working as a sidekick for." With that, I made my way towards Deku and Ochako to sit and watch the match. "Woah, you never tell Todoroki off Y/N, are you alright?" Deku asks me with a concerned look. I nod slowly, I just don't want to face the guy who basically turned me down before I could even get to know him or even confess to him.

"It's because her crush crushed her feelings and now, she doesn't know how to feel about it." Ochako not so very quietly whispered across me to Deku. I gave her a look with my eyebrows raised in shock and pissed off. She laughs then apologizes to me several times, to which I laugh a bit sarcastically. I turn my head to the match and as expected the two were still going at it. "Geez, I wonder who will win. Rock hard or metal head?" I ask with a bit of amusement in my voice. I earned a slap on the shoulder from Ochako who motions towards the other students who either were giggling, blushing or shocked, then my eyes widened realizing what I said. "No! I did NOT mean it like that! Rock hard as in his quirk not...you guys! How could you possibly think I would know what he would..." I blush and sink into my seat embarrassed.

To my surprise, I earned a laugh from the cold king himself, Todoroki. I gave myself a small smile from my cocoon of embarrassment. Maybe, I shouldn't brush him off just yet. I close my eyes to think about what could happen in the future. His father hates me and my father so that's out of the question. Besides if my shadow quirk increases its power, I could be extremely dangerous and hurt him. Who could ever like...and eventually, love someone who could be considered a monster? I let out a sigh pulling my knees up to my chest putting my feet on the chair I sat on.

I guess Tsuyu must've heard me and she spoke up from behind me, "Don't worry about it, Y/N." I smiled at her and we continued to watch the match which ended up going into a draw situation, where eventually Kirishima won. I smiled at him and clapped for his achievement for winning against the class 1-B student. I looked over and saw Bakugou smirk and then it hit me, THAT BASTARD HAS A CRUSH ON KIRISHIMA!!

It was time for round two and of course, I got a little excited. I was going up against my friend Iida and I knew his quirk and his weakness, so I just need to gain a little advantage for myself first. I smiled and got up from my seat looking around at my many classmates. Which one has the best power to defeat him...? Obviously, Todoroki's is strong but I'm not too keen on touching him at this particular moment. I could use Deku's again and even Bakugou's. I should probably use their quirks, better play it like I'm going at it than play it safe. I sigh and I touch Deku's shoulder smiling, "Thanks for the quirk bud. Now I gotta find a way to touch Bakugou..."

I saw him starring at the playing field and I decided it was time to at least try to touch him. I made my way behind him and nudged his arm. "Keep playing it safe goldilocks and I won't be able to fight you in the finals. I'll be fighting Deku since he's so much stronger than you're acting." I sassed him with a smirk. He turned his head towards me and gave me his signature death glare. I chuckled and whispered in his ear, "C'mon pretty boy, show me what you got. Prove to me you're worthy of being number one over me, Deku and Icyhot." With that, I stood up smiling and walked towards the exit to the arena when I hear a simple but loud, "HEY BITCH!"
