I woke up to the sound of laughing. I stretch myself and get out of the bed.
We had reached Stirington safely and it has been a week since our escape. Every passing second of our journey was agonising. The constant fear lingered in my mind that we will be caught and punished. But when we finally reached, I let out a sigh of relief.
We have been staying at a shepherd's cabin which was located deep in the woods and away from the town. It's so peaceful here and the shepherd and his family are kind enough to let us stay. He said that he knew Theo and was told by him that his friends that is us, needed his help.
I wore a dark blue and white knee length dress, tied my hair into a bun and looked around for Emmy and Caleb.

Ever since we came here I've noticed that Emmy and Caleb like hang out a lot. They look so cute together and whenever I tease them about it they both blush.
I find them sitting on the steps of the cabin. I sit beside them but they seem to be so engrossed into each other that they didn't notice my presence till I cleared my throat.
"You're up early." Caleb said.
"You are too. Besides it's not that early, it's eight. And I would've been sleeping if you guys would have lowered your pitch." I rolled my eyes.
"I'm hungry Caleb. Can't we just go to the town and eat there? I've always wanted to visit this kingdom but now that I'm here I can't leave the cabin." Emerald complained. I nodded in agreement.
"I'm afraid we can't. We must stay hidden." He said.
"Why do we need to stay hidden? We are not in Mayana and the king and his soldiers can't get in Stirington." I said.
If Nickolas could get in Stirington we would have been caught up till now.
"I know. And I'm not bothered by that." He said looking down at his hands. I looked at him suspiciously and so did Emmy.
"What is it then?" I asked him. Now I'm getting worried.
"Nothing you need to worry about." He got up and went inside the cabin. Emerald followed him in.
Heath, the shepherd's son came into my view.
